Agartala, Sep 26 (TIWN): The BSNL broadband connections are working too slow and some are out of order due to heavy rains from last few days. The subscribers of BSNL especially various offices, banks and cyber café are facing problems with their broadband connections.

The cables were damaged due to heavy rains. This has resulted in interruption in the broadband services and telephone services as well, said an official.

The BSNL officials said that the main primary cables have been damaged. The cables are damaged badly and it is a tedious process to restore every connection.

The services are likely to be restored within the next few days. The connections will be restored in a phased manner. An official from BSNL said that steps are initiated to restrict the cable faults due to water logging.

BSNL broadband users rued that they had to put up with poor connectivity and slow speed, particularly in rural areas. While, subscribers of the BSNL have alleged that the services of the state-owned telecom operator were very poor in the main localities of the district, heavy rains have worsened the condition.
