The gas supply pipeline from Palatan via Khedabari will connect to NEEPCO Monarchak Power plant. Gitte with approval of former Chief Secretary Panda signed MoU with the company who announced to manufacture organic manure in Hapania dumping ground and took advance money payement from state ex-chequer.Ultimately, Prayag Group did not spend a single paisa in Tripura rather showing the MoU, they made huge business in other parts of country. Gitte also brought several blacklisted companies of Maharashtra in AMC with the approval of Dr Panda. They all took advance money and paid due share to Gitte and Panda and left Tripura.It is evident from AMC records, despite multiple objections from the junior officers of AMC regarding MoU with such unscrupulous companies; Gitte did these with the approval from Panda and Manik Sarkar. North East's largest Solar Power Plant t | AGARTALA, January 12 (TIWN): North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) is all set to begin commissioning work its solar power plant at Monarchak, Sonamura Sub-Division of Tripura. Monarchak is ready for generating 2.5 MW of power on its partial commissioning by the end of January, said NEEPCO Project Head SR Biswas today.The proposed solar plant will come up in the premises of 101 MW Tripura gas-based power project which is under construction.Talking to TIWN today NEEPCO Project Head S R Biswas mentioned that for developing 5 MW solar power plant at Monarchak the plant is now all set to start its power generation of 2.5 MW in the premises of its partial commissioning. Adding to that he said that the entire project for the development of the solar power plant the total costs rests at around Rs. 40 Crore.For developing 5 MW solar power plant, NEEPCO has already invited bids.The scope of work involves designing, manufacturing, supplying, packing, forwarding and transportation of the power plant to the site along with its operation and maintenance for a period of five years. | 12-Jan-2015 |

Tripura’s Monarchak Power Plant | AGARTALA, January 12 (TIWN): State owned ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) is all set with its OTPC-NEEPCO via Khedabari pipeline to supply gas likely from January 14 to Monarchak power plant that is being set up by government-run NEEPCO in western Tripura, said ONGC Asset Manager V P Mahawar today. Besides Monarchak Power Plant is ready to start its commissioning activities for 65 MW of power on its first phase, said NEEPCO Project Head S R Biswas today. Talking to TIWN today ONGC Asset Manager V.P Mahawar said that the ONGC is ready with its gas pipeline connecting NEEPCO from OTPC via Khedabari. The ONGC is all set to supply gas to the pipeline likely from January 14, said Mahawar. Adding to that he mentioned, the work of drilling for the pipeline under the River Gomati that will connect the NEEPCO for its power plant will start from January 13 and it will take at least 2 days if everything is on right track.
