AGARTALA, January 13 (TIWN): Demanding resignation of Manik Sarkar from post of Tripura Chief Minister in view of the endless corruptions in the state, BJP state president Sudhindra Dasgupta said that “We have already informed the Union Home Ministry regarding the situation of the state”, Dasgupta said. Taking to TIWN, BJP state president Sudhindra Dasgupta said that so called Mr. Clean Manik Sarkar is helping all the corrupt officials of the state. He further alleged that Saradha group, Rose Valley group, Waris group and other chit fund companies cheated thousands of people in the state but no effective measures were taken to arrest the people involved with the fraud. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was collecting documents on the alleged cheating on the basis of which the party would submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding CBI probe into the cases, Dasgupta said. A total of 37 cases lodged at different police stations against 24 chit fund companies were referred to Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India for CBI investigation, he mentioned.

Criticizing the irresponsible role of state govt. Dasgupta said that the state govt. has not taken any responsibility to figure out the amount of the money looted by the chit fund companies in collaboration with ruling CPIM party.

The CPI (M) and the left front ministers are now on a race to safeguard the clean image of CM Manik Sarkar the so called Mr. Model and "clean" CM, Dasgupta claimed.

“The role of police is crystal clear. Tripura Police dancing in the tune of the CPIM party in power.

They want to oblige the party cadre; they want to oblige the state CPIM secretary and the chief minister of the state who is mute spectator of these incidents.

Chief Minister has miserably failed to protect the lives and properties of the women of the state.

CM has mo moral right to continue as the home minister of the state. He should gracefully exit and resign since he has miserably failed as the home minister of the state,” said Dasgupta.
