AGARTALA, January 14 (TIWN): Former DM west and present District Magistrate of Amravati (Maharashtra) Kiran Gitte was accused of bringing first Chit Fund Company based in Orissa Prayag Group in Tripura as advised by S K Panda about eight years ago. Gitte with approval of former Chief Secretary Panda signed MoU with the company who announced to manufacture organic manure in Hapania dumping ground and took advance money payement from state ex-chequer.Ultimately, Prayag Group did not spend a single paisa in Tripura rather showing the MoU, they made huge business in other parts of country. Gitte also brought several blacklisted companies of Maharashtra in AMC with the approval of Dr Panda. They all took advance money and paid due share to Gitte and Panda and left Tripura.It is evident from AMC records, despite multiple objections from the junior officers of AMC regarding MoU with such unscrupulous companies; Gitte did these with the approval from Panda and Manik Sarkar. Through those companies and consultants Gitte and Panda are accused of looting crores of rupees from Tripura, which is already pending with CBI and PMO for investigation.

Depriving educated youths of Tripura, former Chief Secretary S K Panda brought more than 50 people from Orissa in different departments. SSS Mishra of urban development, Pratihari in State Forensic Lab, Dr Mishra in Govt Law College, another Mishra in NIT Agartala, three teachers in Tripura University influencing Manik and six assistants in different departments.

Now after Bimal’s arrest, Panda and his all corrupt gang are afraid of future.

Meantime, when Panda got to know that Police investigation has also found substantial evidence of his racket in administration he is visiting Tripura with public fund to manage the investigation.

Pravin Agarwal, IFS, another corrupt officer in industry department who had presented an expensive ornament with the sponsorship from a businessman of Agartala to Panda’s daughter wedding last year in Orissa.

Pravin Agarwal had also spent overtime in writing Panda’s next book (coming soon) corporate social responsibility. Report said, upcoming book of Panda is entirely written by Pravin with an assurance that he will be remained in Industry department till gets deputation outside.

Though department of forest, by name itself became corrupt at Panda’s blessings did not want to accept Pravin because his level of corruption is beyond imagination and PCCF was not agreed to take him back in the department, as his shallow brain and corrupt council found difficult to manage Pravin.

Former Chief Secretary Panda is scheduled to have exclusive meeting with Manik Sarkar in the Secretariat and top leaders of CPI-M in Agartala.
