NLFT camping along international border | AGARTALA, January 3 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar again today cautioned the activities of banned militant outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) in hilly and bordering parts of the state.Sarkar reminded that NLFT is still camping in the habitations along the locations Indo-Bangladesh border.During the Police day parade programme at AD Nagar Police ground he said, “Though the violence by NLFT militants are almost under control here in Tripura but the security forces must have to keep a strict vigil along the Indo-Bangla border areas.†Addressing the police day parade programme at AD Nagar police ground, he made tough on NLFT militants urged the security forces of the state to keep a strict vigil along the Indo-Bangla border areas. “With the help of the common mass of the state the police forces moved forward to diminish the terror activities in Tripura, but we have to much aware of the existing NLFT militants along the border areasâ€, said Sarkar. Incident of theft occurred at Kalimandir | Agartala, January 3 (TIWN): Theft cases are on the rise in the city. A gang of thieves again looted the belongings of South Barjala’s Shiv-Kali Mandir. Sources said that on yesterday night the thieves had entered the temple and broke down the grill. At the morning, local residents of the area had noticed that the grill of the temple was broken and the ornaments, cash and utensils belong to the temple was looted off. He said once an act is legislated in the Parliament, there is no need for Tripura cabinet to hold any business with the act. Fixed Pay appointment simply strengthens | AGARTALA, January 2 (TIWN): In the year 1998 Manik Sarkar became the Chief Minister of Tripura and soon after taking the chair of the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar led CPI(M) Govt in Tripura through a Cabinet resolution made Fixed Pay appointment a rule in Tripura. And since then the state govt has been adopting the same policy of appointment in various departments. But this kind of policy is quite contradictory to what the Communist party promotes. As per Rule 112 of the Constitution of Communist Party of India(Marxist) , appointment in fixed lay is nothing but a forcefully imposed exploitation upon the working class. Speaking on this issue Tripura Govt Employees Coordination Committee's Secretary General Ajay Biswas said," A Communist Govt cannot appoint unemployed in fixed pay because this will only strengthen the very foundation of the Capitalists. Only a Capitalist firm or Govt can impose such exploitation upon its employees. But unfortunately in Tripura, Manik Sarkar led CPI(M) Govt is now simply following the policy of the Capitalists. The state PWD department has finished up with the empanelment work selecting at least three agencies for the construction work of the first ever flyover here in Tripura from Dropgate to Fire Brigade chowmuhni via Battala. The selected agencies – L&T (Larsen & Toubro), ITD Cementation Ltd, and NCC (Nagarjun Construction Company) to place the report of financial bid likely on January 18 or 19, said PWD Chief Engineer Sunil Bhaumik.Talking to TIWN today the state PWD Engineer-in-Chief Sunil Bhaumik said that the department has finished its empanelment work by selecting at least three agencies - L&T (Larsen & Toubro), ITD Cementation Ltd., and NCP constructions Pvt.
