3 days left for Tripura Panchayat Electi | AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): Amid controversies, oppositions’ protests and allegations of poll manipulation, preparations for Panchayat Election continues undisrupted. Not only State Election Commission but also political parties are trying their best to win the remaining 14% seats under Panchayat as 86% seats are all set for BJP’s victory as ‘uncontested’. Just like 2018, September where BJP won 96% seats uncontested, this time BJP is all set to win the upcoming Election with 86% uncontested seats. This time, at first 82% seats were won by BJP as 18% seats were left without nomination submission by the opposition parties. However, many have withdrawn nominations after submission and thus total 5,652 seats are in grip of BJP out of 6646 seats including Panchayat, Jila Parishad and Samitis. Opposition parties have alleged, their candidates were bound to give up nominations and rest could not submit nominations in BJP’s pressures and attacks. Champamura double murder case : Son arre | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Champamura double murder case is now taking twists as son was arrested in suspect of killing own parents and then hanging their bodies at home. However, police still investigating the incident to find out it was a murder or suicide. The couple at the age of 50 Jatindra Das and his wife Sikha Das were found hanging in own house at Champamura followed by a family issue between his wife and his parents. Son Debashish Das has been arrested after interrogation and wife’s interrogation is going on. It was suspected as murder as blood clots were found in their bodies and the daughter in law told media that her husband was in very angry mood regarding family issues. Police said without post mortem nothing can be said, but blood spots are visible in their bodies. However, the accused Debashish Das while addressing media on yesterday said that he doesn’t know how it happened as he was in lock-up on yesterday night after his wife complained in police station.
