Police are taking action in all fields but when it is about the political party’s political heads even though their involvements were time to time alleged, problems are erupting for police to take hurdle free actions. In last one week, from various places drug-smugglers were arrested along with lakhs of contrabands’ recovery. On yesterday, Assam Rifles caught a drug peddler at Chandrapur SBT.The arrested youth named Jayanta Debnath has been handedover to East Agartala Police station.Rs. 210 boxes of brown sugar have been seized from him.Assam Rifles was informed via sources about Jayanta Debnath and thus planwise they caught him red-handed on spot. Later, the drug peddler has been handed-over to East Agartala police.East Agartala PS OC-Jayanta Baidya said that 4.2 gram brown sugar has been recovered whose market price is 50,000 rupees. In normal weather also, load-shedding continued to trouble people for around 3 months here but now, with the monsoon has been started, the situation is more deteriorated. 791 TET Qualified Teaching Aspirants lef | AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Amid Govt’s attempt to increase the quality of education, teachers’ crisis has hit the schools in reality. Govt has decided also to transfer teachers from town areas to rural schools to mitigate the gaps. Education Dept has told media that 147 schools in Tripura having students bearing numbers of less than 10 students. In the contrary, the teachers crisis is not yet ended, neither the agonies of the B.Ed qualified, TET passed unemployed youths. At the same time, having a huge numbers of qualified people, Tripura facing towards massive unemployment rate at 26.2%. Around thousands of qualified job aspirants have expressed resentments about recruitment delays, which the Govt is unable to handle under unknown reasons. Tripura Govt has to focus on Teachers Recruitment as well as recruitments in other departments.Total 791 TET qualified B.ed holders are left jobless.Tripura has 147 schools where numbers of students are less than 10. Tripura Capital’s Water-logging c | AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Former Municipal Commissioner Kiran Gitte led CPI-M Era’s Unscientific drainage covering of Tripura’s capital city Agartala, covering of drains in the name of more footpaths, spaceless and compressed constructions without proper swaging system for decades has left the city unorganized and clumsy with unscientific building constructions. The city neither has left space for footpath, nor for drains and the drains anyhow in few places became footpath by covering them, which has further increased water-logging problems of the city. In this situation, even though Govt is determine to make Agartala city a smart city, but ground report says, it’s impossible to make smart city like metro cities with its unscientific constructions. However, project with new areas in Agartala can be developed as smart city gradually, but the existing city taking Battala, Post Office Chowmuhani, Orient Chowmuhani so far to remained as ‘shitty’ areas during monsoon. Indeed, almost in all areas where water-logging problems are highest, Govt can check, there is no ‘footpath’ existing. In a video, one tortured passengers named Swami Jotirmoyananda said, “On behalf of Bharat Seva Asram, we are returning with 9 devotees after completing our Amarnath Yatra. But we are heavily disturbed by an unfortunate event happened with us. This incident has shocked us and made us afraid, ashamed. In the 13 number bogie, 26 and 28 number seats were occupied by two invalid passengers Mehenas Rahaman and more three women. At around 3 PM when we asked them to leave our seats, we faced dire consequences. One of those woman’s husband is high official of IRS. Review meeting held at Tripura Universit | AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): Addressing a national level review meeting of NAD held at Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, Tripura the experts from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Securities Depository Limited explained the process of getting registered with NAD and outlined its advantages to students, employers and academics. The meeting organized under the directives of UGC / MHRD, was preceded by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Tripura University with the Registrar of the University, witnessed participation from various universities of Tripura and Mizoram including NIT-Agartala, NIT-Mizoram, ICFAI University, MBB University, Tripura Board of Secondary Education, Mizoram State Council for Technical Education among others. In this program, the CoE, Prof. K. N. Jena, Registrar, Prof. M. K. Singh and Prof. Sukanta Banik and Prof. C. B. Majumder were also present with the representatives of UGC/NAD and Securities Depositories. The CoE welcomed all the dignitaries by offering flower bouquet on the dais. Dr. Nikhil Kumar, Education Officer UGC explaining the nitty-gritty of NAD stated that the NAD is established by the Government of India as an endeavor to bring administrative and academic reforms. It is a 24X7 online storehouse of all academic certificates, diplomas, degrees and mark sheets etc, which are digitized and lodged by academic institutions. It not only ensures easy access to and retrieval of an academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage. The experts pointed out that students were no longer required to carry their original certificates and mark sheets everywhere for job interviews and recruitments. In a successful drive, Ranir Bazar Police Station recovered 40,000 numbers of YABA Tabletstand 24,000/- cash depending on relievable information from their sources at around 4:30 AM from Madhab Bari Inter State Truck Terminus. Police said, three persons namely Manir Hussain (28), Alek Hussain (30) & Pritam Bhowmik (25) were arrested in this connection with their private vehicle bearing registration No. TR 01 AZ 0657 (Dustan) from the spot. The approximate value of the narcotics is around INR 40.00 Lacs (Forty Lacs).
