AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Responding on Chief Minister Biplab Deb's continuous requests, finally Tripura to get Delhi-Agartala direct flights from 14th August.
CM informed that the process was started during Suresh Prabhu's tenure under the cabinet.
CM Biplab Deb has announced this news by saying in social media, "Thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Central Aviation Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri ji and Ministry of civil aviation, GOI for granting State's long awaited demand to start direct flight connectivity between #Delhi and #Agartala. Finally it's starting from 14th of August by IndiGo. Regarding this flight I have recently appealed to PM Shri Narendra Modi ji in the last Niti Aayog Council meeting.I would also like to thank former Minister, Shri Suresh Prabhu ji for initiating the process in the past.This flight will be specially helpful for the Tourists, Buisness people & all others".
This launching of new flights might give a sigh of relief for Tripura passengers.
The flight number is 6E 2047 Delhi-Agartala 12.50 (dept), 15,10 (arrival).
