AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Devotees have rushed to Shiva temples to offer prayers to Lord Shiva on Monday.

The holy month of sawan also known as Sharvan is here and it’s time to celebrate and worship Lord Shiva. In India, festivals are all about togetherness and devotion, and this month-long festival is all about praying to the deity to seek his blessings. In fact, Monday is considered the most auspicious day to worship Lord Shiva.
This year sawan started on 17th July and will continue for a month till 15th August 2019. This one month long festival is no less than fiesta for the devotees. Right from visiting the temples to observing fasts and following rituals, the month of sawan is all about spirituality and devotion.
