Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy’s (CMIE) monthly report for June-2019 was published on Monday morning, once again, ranking Tripura as the topper state in unemployment rate. Theunemployment rate which is mounting across the country however has decreased 4% in Tripura in compare to the last months. On May-2019 the unemployment rate was 30.2% whereas this month it’s 26.2%. Still, Tripura tops inunemployment rate in compare to other 29 states of India. The second topper state is Haryana with 22.1% and Jammu & Kashmir is second with 14.9%. While addressing in a programme on Monday at Agartala Town Hall, Deb said that recently he was told by North District administration that the District is load-shedding free but fact is per day 4 to 5 times power cuts happen at there and he came to know after he asked a driver about that. However, Biplab Deb said, after changing the transformers things will be changed. On the other side, blame games centering load-shedding problems are continuing in Tripura and Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Barman, who is also holding the Power Dept has blamed the CPI-M Govt for buying poor quality’s transformers “which can not take the load†properly. Jishnu Dev Barman has made it clear that there is no shortage in power surplus in Tripura. Recently Power Minister Jishnu Dev Barman has claimed that Tripura has enough power-surplus. He said, Tripura Govt is getting 63 MW from Rukhia, 42 MW from Baramura, 10 MW from Dumboor, 100 MW from Monarchak, 130 MW from central share and from OTPC 725 MW.Tripura needs 300 MW power whereas Nepal and Bangladesh are getting power from Tripura. The first ever train officially reached in Sabroom Railway Station amid cheers, whistles and much enthusiasm. South Tripura people were eagerly waiting for Railway connectivity as it covers huge distance with Agartala by road.
