ADC’s massive corruption under CP | AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): Tribal votebank politics rather than any actual development for Tribals keeping ADC areas further backward. ADC (Autonomous District Council) creation to appease Tripura’s separatists fetched no benefits to State’s Tribal population other than wasting money on so called separate ‘Autonomous Administration’ which is nothing other than puppet in the hands of ruling CPI-M. BJP’s Thrusday announcement of proposing conversion of ADC into ASC / ISC ( Autonomous State Council / Independent State Council) is another political blunder to appease Tribal votebanks at the cost of majority Bengalees. Even though BJP aimed to hit CPI-M in Tribal appeasement but CPI-M’s masterstroke on Friday press conference opposing ASC/ISC positioned itself a champion for majority Bengalees. CPI-M actually no well wisher for Bengalees as Manik Sarkar's 1992’s statement caused Anti-Bengali propaganda and further fueled divisions among Tribals and Bengalees. Now tussles between BJP and CPI-M turning Tribal votebank into a political jackpot rather than actual development of TTADC areas. Due to corruption, even after decades long Central fundings of TTADC, basic amenities like Schools, Colleges, Hospitals remained in pathetic condition. | 15-Jul-2017 |
What are the changes coming under propos | AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): CPI-M vs. BJP’s political race to grab Tribal votebanks not likely to benefit Tribal’s any development rather than creation of more corruption with abundant Central fundings. Like 7th Pay Commission, BJP has finally promised to convert Tripura Tribal Autonomous Dist Council (TTA-ADC) into Autonomous State Council, after BJP comes in power. In this regard already Central Govt is holding talks that was published earlier. Now it's important to know how a Autonomous State Council instead of Autonomous Dist Council will work and what things will be changed under the new Autonomous State Council will function. There are 16 pinots that will benefit the tribals under Autonomous State Council that has been already drafted to distribute the power- hierarchy in the state. However, some of the salient features of the said submitted draft of the proposed Autonomous State Council are : a) Land Alienation, transfer of lands, land revenue, and land settlement, b)Direct Funding to the said Autonomous State, C) Education Upto University level, D) Judiciary including Indigenous Customary Laws of Tripura, E) Forests comprising the all areas of present TTA-ADC, D) Home etc. | 15-Jul-2017 |

Communist CM’s anti-Bengali face | AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN Exclusive): Nation’s enemy CPI-M not only in bed with China,Pakistan and anti-national forces but CPI-M leaders Nripen Chakraborty, Manik Sarkar played dirty games to divide State’s Bengali-Tribal harmony by instigating hate filled propaganda. After appeasing Tribals, CPI-M created a fear psychosis among Bengalees so that both sides' hapless people vote for CPI-M. Truth can never be hidden and if today CPI-M is calling IPFT as Anti-Bengali they should also kick out their own Chief Minister, who has masked himself as a ‘Clean CM’ . The Satan inside Manik Sarkar has been exposed from his 1992's anti-Bengali statement when he was the Secretary of State CPI-M which was in opposition against ruling Congress. In his own signed statement what Manik Sarkar not only called for Bengali Hindus expulsion to Bangladesh but also demanded inner permit card for Bengalees entering into ADC areas. Manik Sarkar said, "Tribals who were 70 % of the population, during Maharaja's time have now come to 23 %...the 'Bangladeshi foreigners' have started silently invading the TTADC...if this process is not stopped forthwith the Tribal identity itself will be in danger". This statement was placed by Manik Sarkar before CPI-M state committee on 26th Feb. 1992 that further led by Manik Sarkar saying, "During last 48 months, Tribals got tremendously frustrated because they can not place their confidence on the Govt (Congress Govt), which started an undeclared war against the tribal minorities...". | 14-Jul-2017 |

CPI-M H.B. Road leaders perform extortio | AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): With the approach of assembly poll CPI-M's branch organizations are getting busy in raising party fund in as many ways as they can . And acting as a supplementary agency CPI-M's employees organ H B Road leaders have already started to pressurize the employees of thestate to make their compulsory contribution to CPI-M party fund. This year the H B Road leaders have been instructed to collect Rs 48 crore before 2018 Assembly Poll. In order to collect such huge fund H B Road leaders are leant to have asked all the state govt employees to contribute the extended amount of their salary (for the month of April ) to CPI-M party's Special Election Fund and that amount are to be paid with in 10th September 2017, a highly placed H B Road leader, who is utterly dissatisfied withthis instruction ,revealed this to TIWN on Thursday. As natural consequences the employees of the state are not at all happy with this new 'forman ' from leaders , who practically act as agents of CPI-M going against the interests of the employees . It is really very surprising that CPI-M leaders like Sitaram Yechuri and Md Selim , Suryakanta Mishra invariably speak against the employees deprivation in West Bengal and even against 7th CPC's proposals. But here in Tripura , where the Govt is led by CPI-M , the employees are the worst sufferers in the country. | 14-Jul-2017 |
Mysterious silence of CM Manik and non-p | AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Four days have already passed since sectionalist group IPFT started its agitation in the name of road blockade causing great suffering sufferings to the common people. Whenever, society or state suffers it is theresponsibility of the govt to ensure that normal life is not disturbed. But this time even after fourdays state govt keeps its silent attitude due to some mysterious reasons. It is often seen that the so called Honest(?) CM Manik Sarkar comes before the media preaching his lectures on state govt's developmental agenda and about its strong attitude towards the sectionalist groups. But he too is silent. It is interesting to note that Manik Sarkar is not only CM of Tripura ,he is the Home Minister as well . Thus, it becomes the absolute duty of the Home Minister to ensure that law and order situation remains normal. Quite surprisinglyManik Sarkar is not making any statement . It is Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bhanulal Saha or CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar who are making statements on such a sensitive issue. And BJP too is helping the CPI-M led Govt to make the sufferings of the people longer . | 13-Jul-2017 |

Also Central Minister of Health & Family Welfare for State Faggan Sigh Kulaste has written a letter to Jual Oram, the Central Minister of Tribal Affairs in this regard, said Jishnu Devbarma in the press meet on Thursday afternoon. In the letter given to Oram by Kulaste on June 24, 2017, he wrote, "The leaders of Janajati Tripura has demanded that the Tribal Autonomous Dist Council will be converted into Tribal Autonomous State Council so as to give more autonomy and to preserve distinguished socio-cultural identity of the indigenous people of Tripura". | 13-Jul-2017 |

Sinha also following CPI-M's allegation of Manipur blockade said that like Manipur blockade, BJP is trying to winning over the election. In the Manipur blockade, it was BJP Govt who was fully responsible which was proven when immediately after the election was won by BJP the crisis stopped there. However, Sinha further mentioned if within 24 hours the protest is not withdrawn, the Congress will also come in massive protest. | 13-Jul-2017 |
Tipraland demand goes high on Day-4 with | AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): As after separation Tipraland will be all in all dominated by tribals in the ADC converted new state Tipraland, naturally the state people will lost their reservation quota and the reservation will be shifted to the other section of people living in the ADC. From tax to 'no-reservation' all will have to be faced by the people living there. In this condition question raising, as the imaginary Tipra Land logically do not have any reservation quota for the tribals, what plans and projects NC Debbarma led IPFT have undertaken to boost fast-development there ? Railway, industry, transport---to get them into a new shape, separatists will destroy many generations. Apart from that what have those tribal leaders thought for industrial growth that can give the youths job opportunities. As the land’s majority will be tribals so automatically reservation quotas will be removed and given to Bengalies although in the plain area's citizens the tribals will have reservation. But ofcourse the persons who will be benefited are the political leaders as they will enjoy the public money and some Central funds. | 13-Jul-2017 |
Amarnath Attack : Saffron burnt Pak flag | AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Even though Viswa Hindu Parshad burnt Pakitan's flag along with that terrorist country leader Nawaz Sharif, but Tripura Communists leader are utter silent about the Amarnath attack, eventhough they had sympathy for Laden & Yakub Memon. Whereas Sitaram Yechury was bulleting against the Indian army for replying in bullets against the stone-throwers, but this time the tone is totally different. Confused leaders like West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury have dumped all the blames upon the centre, infact an way to avoid responsibly. The problem lying with our anti-BJP leaders is just because they see everything from political angle, including Country's sensitive issues. | 13-Jul-2017 |

Running in the same line state govt's puppet Pay and Pension Review Committee too deprived the state employees ahead of crucial 2018 Assembly Poll . On Tuesday state cabinet in its meeting approved the ROP and once its online version is published it comes to lightthat the Minimum Pay of the lowest level employee of the state govt is determined Rs14040 .It means that the state govt has not fully corrected ROP as TIWN predicted. Actually , the ROP published on Tuesday is actually a reflection of Manik Sarkar led CPI-M govt's anti-employees policy . | 13-Jul-2017 |

Thus 292 posts are left vacant amidst plenty of qualified teachers who have B.Ed as well as passed TET in last year. Recently it has been known that a single person has received 2 offer letters as they could qualify for both PGT and GT. The 292 candidates thus meeting the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty told him that the persons who have received two offer letters will join in PGT and thus the GT post will remain vacant. IPFT turns barbaric for attention : Nake | AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Sacrificing all decent forms of protests, IPFT members on Wednesday morning have come naked in demand of Tipraland. This is the first time in state's history that a political party came naked to show their agitation which darkened the glorious history and cultured Kingdom eras in Tripura. All the all political parties have condemned the activity of IPFT immediately that shadowed state Tripura's past. When IPFT has blocked the National Highway, nobody forced against it and the drivers, passengers managed to come via Mohonpur way, but with today's incident IPFT has downed their reputation permanently. The form of protest was unnecessary, when administration is fully supporting them to carry on their protest. Role of N C Debbarma is heavily under scanner for diverting the youths in wrong way for a separate land's demand. Very important questions are raising for N C Debbarma : 1) What future plan has N C Debbarma done for the youths ? 2) Will the youths get industry, developed areas after a year of separate state ? 3) Or he has planned to keep the youths naked like this ? | 12-Jul-2017 |
More worries for state govt in 13000 Non | AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): School Education Departement led by Tapan Chakraborty is leading the department towards a serious crisis again after its humiliating defeat in the 10323 terminated teacher case. After losing the case in the Supreme Court , which on 29th May cancelled the SLP filed by state govt upholding the High Court's verdict given on 7th May 2014 , state govt is again playing a gamble with the emotions of the 10323 terminated teachers. However, in June this year the state govt created some mysteious 13000 Non-Teaching posts in order to rehabilitate these terminated 10323 teachers'whose recruitment process was itself termed as Unconstitutional by the Division Bench of the Agaratala High Court headed by the then Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta. | 12-Jul-2017 |

CPI-M warning about 1988's violence repe | AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Amid continuous intrigues, backdoor manipulations by CPI-M to generate hatred among Tribals/Bengalees, the protest has remained peaceful so far, flopped the idea of CPI-M’s violence blueprint and chaos in the IPFT blockade. Although police dept held a peace talk with IPFT but left front unions including CITU are busy in day night protest against IPFT strike, whereas the Chief Minister never directly talked straight on the issue or called the central home ministry to look into the issue. The main cause of the panic-less strike as the Mohonpur way is open as alternative way for vehicle passing. When CPI-M targeted BJP as the cause behind IPFT’s strike, BJP leader Ashok Sinha asked CPI-M why the party is propagating about the strike as much as can do. ‘ Most propaganda about IPFT’s blockade is being done by CPI-M only, but no party else’, said Sinha. IPFT's movements seems much like CPI-M's B team rather than any serious contender for so called 'Tipraland'. | 11-Jul-2017 |
