Survey on GST effect in Northeast India, | AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Since the midnight with the GST implementation, the discussions, celebrations, debates are going on across social media and the major question that instigating 'strong-debates' is : How far Modi Govt has done for poor people, small retailers ? At Agartala some auto drivers have started to hike the fair as there is no chart-practice for auto fares in Tripura. But most interestingly, when media attempted to survey the market-prices of daily commodities the vegetable sellers told media, 'What is GST ?' One retailer at Math Chowmuhani said, "I don't know what is GST, neither it has affected me". Another retailer said, "What do with GST ? We did not get any notice for it". Lastly, another small shop-keeper said, "If I understood GST then would I have become a vegetable seller??". And once this draft amended rules 2017 come to the concerned schools employees were shocked to see the ill motive of the state govt as well as the ruling CPI-M . ln the name of amendment the state govt actually wants to start transfer policy in the Grant-in-Aided schools and more importantly to take away the powers of the Teachers-in-Charge in the name of appointing administrator, of course those who are playing like puppets under CPI-M's instructions.
