AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar Govt’s mass-deprivation, corruptions continue irrespective of plight of unemployed graduates Statewide. Agriculture educated unemployed youths after various protests sat in hunger strike since April 8 demanding recruitments of Agriculture Dept that were left vacant since 7 years. However, after various threats, phone calls from the agriculture dept. when nothing could supress the youth’s protest, then Govt was further shaken as the youths were towards the High Court. Immediately a fresh advertisement was given for 116 posts in ATMA / Agri Officers in daily newspaper but after around 4 months of passing no interview has been called in this regard, led agitated youths to announce for more protests.

As per the allegation, since long 7 years no recruitment was done in TAFS Gr-I (Agri-Officer)  post, whereas out of 383 posts 237 posts are left vacant. Moreover, in Central projected Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) also not a single post has been filled up.

Amidst the fund releasing by Centre : State as 90 :10 ratio, total 250 posts are still vacant.

Apart from that, under KVK, AICRP (PP) many posts are also lying vacant.

The Dept. of Agriculture in 2016 via an advertisement noticed to fill up 50 posts but with the order of the High Court TPSC (Advt. 06/2016) the recruitment process was stopped as High Court found the  advertisement was not valid as per recruitment laws.Apart from that since 1999 and before that also all the Agri-Officers recruitment were invalid and the unemployed youths to file case in High Court soon.

The unemployed youths further demanded that the 50 posts must be filled up by following High Court's order with more posts. They also mentioned that many unemployed youths are becoming over aged including P.hd holders, whereas since 7 years no recruitment was done in this dept.

These youths 3 times also met the Chief Minister, but CM never heard the plea of those unemployed youths.

Earlier, talking to Prabir Dutta, Secretary of Tripura Unemployed Agriculture & Horticulture Association, he mentioned that 3 major illegal recruitments done under Tripura Agriculture Dept which include all the A Class Agri Officers appointed after 1999, and the PH quota violation. Whereas the Govt for long a decade didn’t appoint any PH but in 2016 at the same time 3 quotas were reserved for PH. If in 2016 it can happen then what about other advertisements. If the advertisements submits in Court, as per the petitioners, all the recruitments after 1999 will be proven as illegal.

However, later out of pressure even though the advertisement was released but no interview was called so far leading the youths to announce  sit on protest in coming days.
