AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Atleast 292 unemployed TET qualified candidates have not received any offer letters from Tripura Education Dept after the last TET examination was held. Eventhough huge number of vacancies are there in Education Dept and schools are running amid massive teacher crisis among 821 vacant posts as per advertized in daily, Govt has selected only 529 candidates, but A total 1200 candidates had qualified TET. Thus 292 posts are left vacant amidst plenty of qualified teachers who have B.Ed as well as passed TET in last year. Recently it has been known that a single person has received 2 offer letters as they could qualify for both PGT and GT. The 292 candidates thus meeting the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty told him that the persons who have received two offer letters will join in PGT and thus the GT post will remain vacant. In this condition, the candidates have demanded to be appointed in those posts which will remain vacant after the joining.

However Education Minister said that before July 31st nothing can be said in this regard.

TET examination in Tripura had began after High Court in a order led by the then Chief Justice Dipak Gupta in 2013.

But even after qualifying TET, proving once again Tripura left front govt is not friend of all the unemployed youths, a major scam in TET Examination came out when the govt deprived 292 TET qualified candidates of 2016-17.

When schools are running teacherless, to prove CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar’s comment that good marks can not make good teachers’, Tripura Govt against 821 vacant posts advertized in daily, selected only 529 candidates, whereas 1200 candidates already qualified TET.

Thus 292 posts are left vacant amidst plenty of qualified teachers who have B.Ed as well as passed TET in last year.

A source said that to benefit 10,323 teachers the Govt has taken this decision.

On the other hand the deprived TET  Qualifier teachers are going to file case against Tripura Govt in this regard in High Court.
