3 days long ‘Total Lockdown†| AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Apart from emergency services and essential commodities, the whole Tripura on Monday remained paralyzed due to ‘Total Lockdown’. The Lockdown to be continued till 30th July, 2020. Vehicle Services were crippled from morning today, but Govt’s emergency services like hospitals, ambulances remained open without any pause. Public gave massive response to the Lockdown and no gathering or crowd was seen at any corner. Transport Services paralyzed across Trip | AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): With the Paralyzed Transport system on Monday, vehicle movements were halted as restrictions are now imposed strictly for 3 days of "Total Lockdown". 3 days lockdown in the Unlock period has put the public in trouble, but lockdown was necessitated due to COVID-19 cases surpassing 4000 causing 13 deaths so far in this Northeast state. Today, from morning police were on duty to keep people in home and also many came under actions. Legal actions were taken against a large numbers of people who violated social distancing or unnecessarily came out of home. In Agartala also, no vehicle was seen plying on roads, whereas tight security was imposed throughout the state. Police were seen not allowing anyone to go out without any emergency or proper reason. Lockdown from tomorrow 5 AM but ‘R | AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Eventhough Lockdown for 3 days to be started from tomorrow 5 AM but restrictions to be imposed from today evening as the ongoing night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am is already in force. The lockdown will be imposed from 5 am on July 27 to be continued till 5 am on July 30. This will be in continuation of the night curfew to be imposed from 9 pm on July 26. Tripura announced 3 days Total Lockdown | AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced a phase of 3 days lockdown in the state, exempting emergency services. Tripura Employees Co-ordination Committe | AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Tripura Employees Co-ordination Committee (Tripura Karmachari Somonyoy Committee) on Saturday has demanded clearance of Pending 17% DA to Tripura Employees. Addressing media, the employees said, "Lastly in 2017, July 4% DA gap hardly remained between State and Centre but from 2017, 2018, 2019, no DA was given to the employees. Tripura BJP Govt submitted affidavit to | AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): BJP’s ultimate testifying time is approaching for its pre-election promise to the 10323 teachers in the Vision document, as Supreme Court to hear the State Govt’s petition soon to recruit 10323 teachers in alternative posts. Tripura Govt has submitted affidavit to the Supreme Court with certain proposals centering recruitment of terminated 10323 teachers in non-teaching Group-C and Group-D posts. Reportedly, on 19th June, Supreme Court issued an order asking to reply on Govt’s outlook over the 10323 teachers. Minister Ratanlal Nath announced to intr | AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): To ensure 90% Female Cow production in State, Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced to introduce ‘Sex-Sorted Artificial Semen Insemination’ replacing the Conventional Artificial Semen. Addressing media at Secretariat, after a cabinet meeting, Minister Nath on Friday said, “Under the previous process only 40% cows became pregnant. Among that 40% cows, only 40% female cows were delivered. But under the new ‘Sex-Sorted Artificial Semen Insemination’ there will be 90% female productions. That means out of 100 cows, 90 cows will be female. In this way the crisis of milk will end in Tripura by developing dairy industry massively. Low Quality, Rotten, Insect-Full food pr | BISHRAMGANJ, July 24 (TIWN): Smelly, Rotten rice given to quarantined people in Bisramganj COVID-Care centre, erupted mass resentment. The patients staying there have alleged that they are given very low quality food, no proper timing in food distribution. Many old and patients who are suffering through chronic diseases are unable to have their medicines as breakfast is allegedly given at 10 am. When meals / dinner are given, they found insectfull rotten and often smelly items. The COVID-19 patients also said, no medicine, no care was given to them and just locked in the quarantine centre without proper arrangements. With these allegations questions are raised, when Govt is flowing huge funds, what the local authority is doing ? Is there any monitoring mechanism for food quality’s checks ? With such foods, patients’ health instead of improving, will deteriorate further.
