AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): All Tripura Govt Doctors Association has called for for public awareness to curb COVID-19.

The Association also demanded a dedicated COVID-19 care centre in Tripura.

Addressing media, the Doctors said, if GB hospital is for COVID-19, then there should be only COVID-19 treatment.

However, the Doctors said that Tripura’s condition is better than many other states’ conditions. In COVID-19 tests also, Tripura is ahead.

The Association led by Dr. Ranjit Kumar Das, Dr Pradip Kumar Debbarma, Dr. Rajesh Chouhdury, Dr, Uttam Kumar Das, Dr. Kaushik Chakraborty, Dr. Ashish Das, Dr. Sumit Das, Dr, Rajdeep Das, Dr. Dayashish Chakma, Dr. Tanmoy Deb, Dr. Ajay Biswas, Dr. Kanak Choudhury, Dr, Sukomal Sarkar, Dr.Nilanjan Bhattacharjee presented certain demands for the sake of COVID-19 control to the Govt.

The Doctors demands and suggestions to tackle COVID-19 Pandemic are :

1. Establishment of State-level dedicated COVID-19 hospital is the most important need for the hour. At present, major institutes of state are dealing with both COVID and non-COVID patients, common public as well as HCWs,
2. One time incentive should be declared for all HCWs of the state,
3. Immediate recruitment of MOs, staffs nurses and other health staffs are needed to combat this pandemic smoothly,
4. ATGDA emphasizes about the need of public awareness generation to win the war against CORONA with special mentions regarding hand-washing, proper use of masks and social distancing.
