The potato prices raised at Rs. 40 but in many places, it has gone higher. The rising price is now a national problem, but businessmen in Tripura alleged that as in Churaibari, the vehicles are stopped for 4 to 5 days, so when the potato sacks are brought, huge part of that are found damaged. Tripura reports 2 more COVID-19 deaths : | AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Tripura has now raised up its COVID-19 death tolls at 5 with two more persons had died on Saturday. Chief Minister Biplab Deb had announced this just 5 minutes before it was midnight 12 O'Clock. When death tolls are raising high, Tripura's COVID-19 cases are also increasing massively with community transmission glimpses and evidences. On yesterday total 171 persons were tested COVID-19 Positive, increasing the numbers of patients at 2,654. “People found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 4184 samples tested. Ratanlal Nath's hyped on 3% incr | AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): Govt employees have slammed Law Minister Ratanlal Nath for doing press conference on only 3% increment of Govt Employees salaries, as 3% increment is not a charity but a rule from decades. Increment is given twice and the previous Govt used to give 5% DA twice. But, this is the first Govt, which needed a press meet to announce about 3% increment with no DA this year. This is also the first Govt which has a pending of 17% DA with no DA for many employees from it's in power. In a cabinet meeting this decision was taken on Friday. Addressing media, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said, "When many states are cutting salaries of employees, Biplab Deb Govt has decided to increase it. Local people said that this racket is going on from a long time. Talking to media SDPO Shashvat Kumar said that as per information, police raided the place and apprehended accused persons from there and interrogations are going on. From Bijoya Hotel, the accused persons were detained but when media visited the spot --- mobile phones, bags of the accused women were seen thrown outside. Few women were brought down via the roof and one needed stretcher and needed medical support. But, the Police officer has not said anything in details as whether anything happened before police went there. A woman was seen stripped off / cothless outside the hotel room.
