BISHRAMGANJ, July 24 (TIWN): Smelly, Rotten rice given to quarantined people in Bisramganj COVID-Care centre, erupted mass resentment. The patients staying there have alleged that they are given very low quality food, no proper timing in food distribution. Many old and patients who are suffering through chronic diseases are unable to have their medicines as breakfast is allegedly given at 10 am. When meals / dinner are given, they found insectfull rotten and often smelly items. The COVID-19 patients also said, no medicine, no care was given to them and just locked in the quarantine centre without proper arrangements. With these allegations questions are raised, when Govt is flowing huge funds, what the local authority is doing ? Is there any monitoring mechanism for food quality’s checks ? With such foods, patients’ health instead of improving, will deteriorate further. A patient said, “When CM Biplab Deb is propagating that huge funds are given by Centre, is insects in food are results of such funds ?â€
