BJP Govt to introduce 2004’s Cent | AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): BJP led state govt will introduce Central Govt's pension policy from next month but the law will be applicable only for those employees who will be recruited from July, 2018. Earlier, Tripura Ex-Finance Minister Badal Choudhury who held the Finance Dept for long 10 years, said that a govt can’t introduce new pension policy from a particular year. If it wants to implement centre’s pension policy it has to follow from the year 2004. But in the same issue, CPI-M’s last Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha said, it’s not necessary that the govt has to follow rule since 2004 but it can introduce only for the fresher too. However, both the Ex-Ministers said, the New Pension Policy will bring losses to the future govt employees. Addressing at the gathering there CM said, ‘Zero-deficit budget was unthinkable to economists before BJP Govt was in Tripura, but one economist told me to make a zero-deficit budget. Earlier above 1500 crores of deficit budget state Tripura witnessed, but today the budget has been placed as concrete which includes 7th pay commissionâ€. However, Chief Minister didn’t mention whether social pensions will be hiked through this budget or MGNREGA wages will be hiked or not. Police recovers killer 'gun’ afte | AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Interrogation is going on in medical representative Biswajit Pal murder case at AD Nagar Police station, who was killed brutally on Saturday midnight. At first it was said, Pranjit Bhowmik was held by police for formal interrogation but soon police along with Pranjit recovered the deadly gun through which Biswajit was murdered on yesterday night. DIG (Southern Range) Arindam Nath was present on spot during recovery of the gun and right now further inquiries are going on led by Nath at AD Nagar Police station. Police has not yet declared anything in details but shorty once the interrogation is done, media to be informed, said local police. Police booked Pranjit Bhowmik in medical | AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): One Pranjit Bhowmik has been booked for inquiry by AD Nagar Police in medical representative Biswajit Pal murder case after family members of the deceased accused Pranjit Bhowmik as the murderer who called Biswajit over phone. In front of Pranjit Bhowmik’s house Biswajit’s dead body was recovered on Sunday early morning. It has been alleged that by calling Biswajit via telephone he was gunshot. Numbers of police have been deployed in that area to bring the situation under control. Police is inquiring Pranjit Bhowmik and if anything is found Pranjit will be arrested shortly. On the other side, as soon as the murder had hit the state, BJP sources are claiming Biswajit Pal had been an active BJP supporters and also Ward-46 BJP Secretary. Tripura Congress activists, as a part of national level protests have staged the demonstration demanding investigation in the scandal to find out the transactions histories. At the same time, there should be limits of fee-hikesâ€. CPI-M Ex-Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha | AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): CPI-M Ex-Finance Minsiter Bhanu Lal Saha is hoping 7th Pay Commission from BJP Govt’s budget 2018-19. Talking to TIWN on Saturday, Bhanu Lal Saha said, “Out of 10 Big Promises, only 7th Pay Commission can be partially possible through Budget 2018-19. But what the employees, pensioners will get from 7th Pay Commission it's to be seen and how far govt employees will be benefited out of that it also will be examined laterâ€. “BJP before coming in power made various promises. But the budget is totally against the interest of common people. In case of 7th Pay commission also, it has doubt how far benefits can be implemented in realityâ€, Saha said.
