AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Pre-Election or Post-Election overnight converted BJP activists from CPI-M, leading the dead-end of BJP day by day. BJP’s garlanding welcoming attitude towards such mafias and frauds have upset, shocked a major section common people, who voted for BJP in Assembly Election 2018. After Chief Minister Biplab Deb during the inauguration programme of fuel-carrying cargo at Dharmanagar on March 29, 2018 said, “From today no petrol crisis, no petrol mafia can exist”, police started raids across the mafia godowns. CM asked police, District authority to take the drive against mafias seriously. In such a drive one mafia was found named Abdul Mukid, but soon it was known he has been the Booth President of BJP for No-45 booth.

Surprisingly till day Abdul Mukid was not arrested by Dharmanagar police and the recent attack held upon journalist Suman Debnath was by Abdul Mukid’s younger brother Simin Ahmed, who is right now absconding. Two persons are accused in Suman Debnath attacking case : Simin Ahmed and Mihir Deb. Only Mihir Deb has been arrested, whereas Simin Ahmed (Abdul Mukid's brother) is absconding.

FIR had been lodged by Suman against Mihir Deb, Simin Ahmed under Sections 325,307,386, 34 (IPC).The incident took place on June 18 night at around 10.45 pm night when Suman was returning from Shanichara.

The family of Abdul Mukid allegedly came from Bangladesh and made false certificates including Indian citizenship.

Attack upon journalist Suman is not a result of grudge developed recently but his bold journalism had hit the fuel-mafias always but in CPI-M era even though mafia-raj continued as govt was mute spectator due to some unknown reason, but journalist Suman was not attacked physically on that time.

Surprisingly, Suman Debnath who leaked CPI-M era’s many corruptions including MGNREGA scams, back-marketing of fuel, stone-theft from NH project, Bru-refugees led terrorism and scandals has been attacked when BJP is in power, who before the election promised about the safety of journalists.

The attackers were none other than the same mafias who overnight turned BJP to run their business. Local people of North Tripura thought with the new govt come in power all such illegal activities will be stopped but crimes are continuing proving Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s claim about "Fuel-mafiaraj free state" as ‘failed’ promises. The Chief Minister also didn’t condemn the attack held upon journalist Suman Debnath even though press organizations from countries like France, China condemned it.
