Agartala Press Club’s JUMLA Elect | AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): Going against the undemocratic election of the Agartala Press Club and that too completely violating the Constitution of the Press Club, Senior Journalists Sitangshu Ranjan Dey, Prashanta Chakraborty via their Lawyers Purusottam Ray Barman and Raghunath Mukherjee filed a case yesterday against Pranab Sarkar for grabbing power via a farcical election. Followed by this another senior Journalist cum founder member of the Agartala Club Milan De Sarkar too made a public post yesterday against Pranab Sarkar for illegal activities against Press Club Constitution . 18 children of Tripura recovered from Bi | AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Without Govt's consult before 2 years, 18 children were sent by tribal families to Bihar to take Education in a Buddhist Missionary school and also time to time fees were given to the school. But recently police via telephone told Tripura Govt that 18 children of Tripura were recovered from Bihar as "the institution where the students were studying has been closed" and today Bihar police have brought the children here in Tripura through train. Complaints against the school was lodged before 2 months. Health Minister Sudip Barman told media, as the students were sent without Govt's consult and so there is no record but it can be a deep conspiracy. Tripura Govt will talk to Bihar Govt and State Police to investigate the matter jointly with Bihar Police. Sudip Barman further asked guardians never to send children without taking suggestion from the State Govt. Minister Sudip Barman said, "Bihar Police called my personal secretary that 18 children have been found in Bihar, who belong to Tripura. The institution where they were studying has been closed. So, we told the District Administration to send the children, but their tickets were booked till Guwahati. No Pay Commission before Durga Puja, Ver | AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Even though BJP led govt in Tripura assured to give 7th Pay Commission from March 4, once it comes it comes power, but it was postponed many times in the name of Verma Committee's failure to submit report. However, it has been informed by Finance Dept that Verma Committee which crossed deadline on August 31st to submit report on 7th Pay Commission again was rewarded with more four months to submit report i.e. on December, 2018 the committee led by Assam Ex-Chief Secretary P P Verma can submit its report. However, regarding the date extension of Verma Committee no notification was released, but Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma verbally said, mentioning, 'As soon as the report will come, 7th Pay Commission will be given". However when 7th Pay Commission has been delayed till December-2018, this year's July month’s DA has not been given to the employees. Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha said, “People will answer to them, we believe. We don’t have enough language to condemn the ongoing incidents. Earlier also oppositions were attacked but now it’s in its worst situation under the BJP govtâ€. The Congress also has demanded the re-scheduling of whole nomination submission process.
