Tripura stands alone as the Central Pay | AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): After the deprivation of Central Pay scale, is there is any hope prevailing regarding the issue of paying D.A to the State Government employees? Though Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha did not reject the demand of upgrade the D.A, but in case of Central Pay scale it is obvious that Tripura will stand as the only State which is deprived of this pay scale due to State Govt fault. Now, with the passing of time, chapter of truths will be focused in front of the people.A section of employees alleged that, the state government is depriving the employees by not implementing the central pay scale. Tripura Govt stops salary increments of | AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): In a pathetic display of negligence by Tripura Govt under the leadership of CM Manik Sarkar, 50% of the state employees salary increments were stopped since June 2006.Denial of one increment to almost 50 % of the Tripura employees whose increment date was due on 1st February to June 2006 while implementing the ROP 2009.Due to this such employees, almost 50% of Tripura Employees are getting lesser amount of pay. Same thing happened in the case of central government employees due to uniform date of increment and the matter was realized by the central government and all such deprived employees were given the benfit of their earned increment vide order dated 19th March 2002 with retrospective effect. High Court of Tripura instructs State Go | AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): The High Court of Tripura on Thursday instructed the State Government to form a full fledged team to investigate all the matters related to Chit fund issues. The High Court Division bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and U.B. Saha had passed the order. Immediately a special investigation team (SIT) was formed headed by Director General of Police and Chief Secretary. This SIT team will have to inform about the recent development of the investigation on Chit fund by April 9th.It is also known that the division bench told that as it is not possible to investigate the whole matter fully by the CBI, so an alternative procedure should be adopted. Accordingly a special investigation team should be formed necessarily. This team will further investigate all the chit fund related matters. Earlier, High Court wanted to know that if every scam case should be handed over to the CBI, then whats the role of State government is in this regard ? In reply it was told that there is no experienced persons in the police department who can investigate the matter properly. Monarchak 101MW Plant power generation: | AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Gas turbine of Monarchak Plant under Sonamura Sub Division recently faced problem with gas supply from the ONGC. Talking to TIWN, Monarchak Project Head & NEEPCO General Manager S.R. Biswas said that the gas transparency arrangement made by the ONGC for supplying gas to Monarchak, will not meet the requirement of gas turbine system at present. Due to this problem, power generation from the Monarchak gas based thermal power project remains uncertain till a solution is found within next few days.Talking to TIWN, S.R. Biswas said that though the ONGC made necessary arrangement to supply gas to the Monarchak gas based thermal power project for power generation, but the ONGC has not commissioned the control valve on their gas supply. So some of these technical issues are causing the turbine's inability to take load in a proper way, added NEEPCO GM Biswas. “We will bring a fruitful solution to it within a few days nextâ€, said Biswas. TTAADC Poll: Final electoral rolls publ | AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): The final electoral rolls for 28 District Council constituencies have been published on wednesday, with 19% increase of the voters for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election. The elections to the TTAADC are likely to be held on the month of May. However, a meeting will be held with all the political parties of the state at the secretariat Conference No. 3 on March 19, said Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S.K. Rakesh on wednesday holding a press conference at the civil secretariat.According to the final electoral rolls of the TTAADC election drawing near, the total number of voters stands at 7, 58,554. Of the total electorates, male voters are 3, 83,437 while female voters are 3, 75,117. Kathalia-Mirja-Rajapur constituency has maximum voters with 35,955 while Takarjala-Jampuijala has lowest electorates- 18,179, according to the final voter list published by the concerned returning officers. However, talking to the reporters here at the civil secretariat CEO S.K.
