NLFT terrorists cut wire fence along Ind | KHOWAI, March 27 (TIWN): Wire fencing along the Indo-Bangla border at Khowai Vidyabil under Champahaor Police Station was seen cut on Thrusday ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas & Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election. 2 accused get 14-day Jail custody on Ud | UDAIPUR, March 27 (TIWN): In the sensational murder case of TSR jawan Manik Roy in Atharabola,Udaipur, the Udaipur Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court on Thrusday sent the two accused Banani Sarkar (27) and Rajib Roy (30) to 14 days jail custody. The duo will be produced before the court again on April 8. It is worthy to mention here that police detained victim Manik Roy’s wife Banani Sarkar (27) and one of his friend Rajib Roy (30) on March 16, on charge of murdering the TSR jawan Manik Roy. TSR Jawan Manik Roy (42), S/O- Khirod Mohan Roy of Amtali in Agartala was shot from a 9mm revolver on the main road leading to Gungrai to Atharobhola. He was working in TSR 10BN. Chief Minister inaugurates newly constru | KHOWAI, March 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed District Hospital at Khowai. Ahead of tribal council election, the administration hurriedly took the decision to inaugurate the recently upgraded sub division hospital.Inaugurating the hospital, Chief Minister told that, question may arise among a particular section of people that Khowai district hospital already exist, but what is the need for reopening? The answer is, hospital is reopened for better infrastructure for providing health services to people. Abolition of Planning Commission; Tripur | AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar recently wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi against the winding up of the Planning Commission. The letter inked that it was random move that would only facilitate private capital profit maximization at the cost of welfare programmes. Tripura Cabinet decides to modify State | AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Tripura Cabinet decided to bring a change in the rules and regulations of the State Mission management under the Tripura State Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM). The state mission management would be taken to the district and block level, told Finance and Information and Cultural Affair (ICA) Minister Bhanulal Saha on Tuesday evening. Talking to the reporters at the civil secretariat ICA Minister Bhanulal Saha also informed that the cabinet meeting on Tuesday decided to induct 10 Assistant Demonstrators under the Sericulture department. Adding to that he said that the trained persons will be appointed directly on a fixed pay scale basis. Besides, five drivers will also be recruited for Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). Saha said that appointment of Dr. M. Shabir has been approved in the Cabinet. Shabir will be appointed as a Professor of Tripura Veterinary College, Saha told to reporters. Traffic Unit sends 27 proposals to JTC: | AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): The Tripura Traffic unit has sent a total of 27 proposals to the Joint Transport Commissioner recently for three months of this year. Their licenses to be cancelled very shortly, said Traffic SP Sriti Ranjan Das while talking to TIWN on Tuesday.
