AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): A two days long CPI (M) Central Committee meeting begins today with the Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, CPI (M) State Secretary Bijan Dhar, Khagen Das, Badal Chowdhury, Bajuban Reang and Rama Das left for New Delhi to attend the meeting. However before the commencement of the central committee meeting Manik Sarkar will attend for the Politburo meeting.
Some other members like Aghore Debbarma will not attend the central committee meeting due to the TTAADC election which would be held in the first week of May this year. CPI (M) has already started its campaign for the ADC election throughout the state. However besides, the central committee meeting that begins today is expected to discuss and approve the secretarial report and party strategy for the party congress.
The six-day long party congress will begin on April 14 at Vishakapattanam, Andhra Pradesh. The 21st Party Congress would be completed on April 19. Al together 37 delegates including 5 women would participate in the party congress at Vishakapattanam. However the names of the delegates are Manik Dey, Narayan Kar, Tapan Chakroborty, Narayan Rupini, Amitava Dutta, Pabitra Kar, Madhab Saha, Basudev Majumder, Krishna Rakshit, Jharna Das, Subrata Chakroborty and others.
These names have been finalized in the recently concluded CPI (M) state conference.
