AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): To ensure victory in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections here in the state, the state government has started developmental works in different ADC villages as an enticement to the voters.
According to sources, the state administration has directed all the government departments to conduct developmental works in hilly area villages that are deprived of civic amenities. The indigenous tribes of those remote villages are deprived of their fundamental rights since 2 decades of Left Front regime. In a recent past, the indigenous tribes were distributed land patta by sub division administration. Now, the expansion of power connectivity is in progress in the hilly regions, the source added.
The source further said that 125 villages of Longtrai Valley, 30 villages of Kumarghat and 66 villages of Kanchanpur are yet deprived of power connectivity. Ahead of the last Assembly poll, electricity pillars were installed in the villages to lure the voters and ensure victory. With the ADC poll drawing near, ruling party is keeping their path clean by installing electricity transmission lines in those pillars, the source added.
With the ADC poll drawing nearer, the ruling party has started preparation in full swing. They are leaving no stones unturned to come out successful in the ADC election. The CPI (M) has started campaigning in favor of their candidates. With an endeavor to hit the best in upcoming TTAADC election, CPI (M) also has been conducting street corner, indoor and organization level meetings in the every sub-division.
