1 Country 1 Tax-system : Hectic day in T | AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Tripura's maximum bankers undergone a hectic day ahead of GST meeting at the parliament from the midnight. Since 11.30 AM no customer care was given in renowned banks as they said to be 'busy with GST'. However, as per rules and guidelines, media was not allowed to enter the banks for any photography. The introduction of GST in India is a substantial shift from the current tax regime. Currently, a NBFC, Banks with pan-India operations can discharge its service tax compliances through a single `centralized’ registration. However, under GST, such Banks/ NBFCs would need to obtain a separate registration for each state where they operate. According to a top level Education(School) Department official , state govt recently held a meeting with the leaders of SSA Teachers' Association . The meeting was presided over by Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty and those who attended included Principal Secretary,Education(School )Sushil Kumar,IAS, Director(Elementary Education) and State Project Director(SSA) Smt Kuntal Das . The unannounced crisis have been also reported from other subdivisions. The cause of the crisis situation yet to be identified as the petrol pump workers are not saying anything regarding the reason behind the crisis.
