AGARTALA,June 28 (TIWN): With less than 24 hours left for CBI interrogation to Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath , tension grips Melarmath top brass . It is learnt that a team of 9 CBI officials led by CBI Inspector Bratin Ghoshal have aready arrived here and a highly placed sources in CBI informs TIWN that the CBI officials are now busy in last minute preparations before interrogating Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath . And with the arrival of CBI team to the state sleepless night awaits Tripura CPI-M's top brass. One after another this Left Front govt is being put under severe pressure .

And the CBI notice has really fumed the fire as all knows that Bijita Nath , once a Rose Valley agent, motivated hundreds of common people to invest their hard-earned money in Rose Valley using her political influence . According to a highly placed TIWN sources ," What worries CPI-M is the further course of action of CBI apart from its interrogation to Bijita Nath. 

In West Bengal former Transport Minister Madan Mitra had to spend more than  a year in prison simply on CBI allegation against him on being an Influential (Prabhabshalee). Same charges can be  framed against Chief Minister Manik Sarkar , whose speech given in Rose Valley's Entertainment Part is still regarded as a motivational one for common people for their massive investment in Rose Valley ."

It is to be mentioned herethat the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on 23/06/2017 has issued a notice to Tripura social welfare minister Bijita Nath and asked her to be present at her official residence on Jun 29 for interrogation in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam. The notice was issued yesterday by CBI inspector Bratin Ghoshal under Section 160 CrPC. “It appears that you are acquainted with the circumstances of case number 39(S)/2014 registered against the chairman of the Rose Valley Limited and you are required to make yourself available on June 29,” the notice said. This is for the first time that the investigative agency has issued a notice to any minister of Tripura.

In the notice issued Section 160 CrPC, Bratin Ghoshal, an inspector of police, CBI, Kolkata, wrote, “Whereas it appears that you are acquainted with the circumstances of the case…, which I am now investigating under chapter XII of the code of criminal procedure, you are hereby required to make yourself available on 29.06.2017 at 10 am in your official residence located in Agartala for the purpose of answering certain questions relating to the case”.

In a massive blow to the Manik Sarkar's  transparent govt CBI has issued notice to Science and Technology cum Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Bijita Nath asking her to remain present at her official residence located at Agartala on 29th June 2017 at 10am.   In a letter issued vide No  /RC39/S/2014-SCB/Kol by the Inspector of Police, CBI/EO-IV/Kolkata Bratin Ghoshal it is categorically mentioned ,"  Under Chapter XII of the Crimnal Procedure you are hereby required to make yourself available on 29/06/2017 at 10 am in your official residence  located at Agartala for the purpose of answering certain questions relating to the case."

The notice has been issued U/S 160 Cr Pc. And in the particulars of the case the CBI  notice says "Case No 39(S) 2014 regular u/s 420/408/409/120-B and 34 of IPC and 4,5,6 of the Prize Chitsand Money circulation Schemes(Banning) Act 1978 against the Chairman Rose Valley Hotel and Entertainment Limited and others ."

A highly placed sources in Tripura Police Headquarters informed this correspondent over phone ," A group of police officials have been instructed to cooperate with CBI team during their interrogation and if necessary in future as well . "  The sources also informed that the CBI team comprises 9 members including Bratin Ghoshal , the CBI Inspector. Bratin Ghoshal , who is known for his efficiency and honesty, is the man who has been conducting investigation in Chit Fund scam , especially in this present case against Gautam Kundu . He is also the main official ,under whose report court agreed to allow TMC heavyweight MP Sudip Bandopadhyaya to CBI custody and aubsequently Sudip was sent to jail custody though he got conditional bail on his poor health condition.

  Meanwhile, the arrival of CBI team has rocked the state administration . A TIWN sources in the state Secretariat said on Tuesday night ," A group of officials are really worried about the consequences of this investigation. Many have started to believe that this the beginning and in coming days many big fish will be caught under CBI net . Who knows many top level officials may also be asked by the CBI to appear before the special team that arrived here today. "

Thus, since 1998 this has been the most difficult time for Manik Sarkar led CPI-M govt . And in the coming days demand for CBI probe will be raised in other issues too especially in MGNREGA and in SSA Book scandal where hundreds of thousands of govt money were looted under the top officials likeGSG Ayenger and tainted former Chief Secretary S K Panda.
