AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Tripura Health Service in Govt Hospitals have remained paralyzed even after the free flow of funds from the Centre. Principal Secretary M Nagaraju who is holding the chair since 2 years, eventhough recently was replaced by Samarjit Bhowmik has downed the health service more with the license-less activity of the doctors, staffs. Whereas intern-doctors are protesting for their wages to be cleared, the junior doctors are targeted by the dept for all negligence. In case of Anuara murder case, it was unearthed that GB Hospital issuing death certificates by unregistered Doctors. Tripura Engineering Student Anuara Choudhury's death certificate was signed by Dr. Kishan Rawat whose name is not even registered under Tripura Medical Council till day, but the Principal Secretary even didn't asked for proper investigation of the case.

Dr. Shyam Sundar Saha and Dr. Kishan Rawat both tried their best to prove Anuara's death as a normal death and wrote she died in heart attack, whereas she was poisoned in real. But till day with the blessing of the Heath Dept. no action was taken against this doctors.

Apart from Anuara murder case, more similar cases have been reported in last one month and death of children due to doctors negligence is a common issue.

On May-11 one 2 months baby died at Udaipur Hospital due to over-doze of saltines, but till day no action has taken against the nurses.

The developed over-sympathy for Doctors and nurses has been emerged under the Principal Secretary M Nagaraju mostly and various associations have been created by the doctors to fight against the patients.

With a shocking revelation, it has been known that Central Govt had sanctioned Rs. 150 crores for a Super Specialty hospital to build in Tripura, but seeing no response, Central Govt wanted to complete the laying of foundation stone here. But when state govt was asked to conduct the programme., Tripura Health Minister Badal choudhury wrote a letter to Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welafre saying Badal Choudhury will be busy in other works on that day so the Minister should not come on that day.

In the letter Badal Choudhury wrote, “Please refer to the communication from joint Secretary, Govt of India D O Number : JSMSSYV05/2017 dated 18th May, 2017 regarding your visit to lay the foundation stone of Super Specialist  at block AGMC, Agartala”.

The letter further added, “In this regard I am to inform you that I will not be in station on 27th. Moreover, it is not the practice in the State to lay the foundation stone for such projects. Once the project is successfully completed we may jointly celebrate it inauguration”.

But Badal choudhury didn’t mention any specific date for the building completion, neither the work has been started or not it was also not said specifically.

On Feb-18, Union Health Minister J P Nadda asked Minister Badal Choudhury why Tripura Govt is not expensing the allocated-fund for developments. In a mocking tone the Minister said, ‘Please expense the money. Central Govt now a days are pushing the state govts to expense the fund. It has been seen that after the fund is allocated, it stays at the treasury for 3 months and then it goes to the dept under state govt. Now think, what is the situation across the year. If there are 12 months, then for every fund utilization it needs 3 months”.

Tripura Govt's organized corruption deprived Tripura of Rs. 6000 crores projects related to Ayurvedic Hospital and Health Service Development after the state govt failed to send any audit report to the Centre under AYUSH, it was said Union Minister for State AYUSH Shripad Naik in March.

Apart from that bed-crisis, space crisis are the common agenda of Tripura Govt Hospitals and lack of doctors of course. But lameduck Health Secretary Nagaraju often says, 'Patients should behave with doctors properly and they should not be over react on issues' !

However, in a fresh allegation it was unearthed that Tripura Govt hospitals also not providing free medicines for critical treatments left the poor people to suffer and die without treatment.
