AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): Meeting Tripura DGP A K Sukla, CPI-M backed Nari-Bahini led by MP Jharna Das Baidya demanded the arrest of Adv Bidyut Ghosh as soon as possible.

After a criminal case was lodged against the mentioned person at Teliamura Police Station by Dipa Das alleging moral turpitude against Bidyut Ghosh, BJP hasd suspended him on Tuesday night.

However, issuing the notification CPI-M women leaders charged BJP for involving in crime against women.

BJP party sources said that 'BJP has suspended Bidyut Ghosh immediately allegation raised against him and one BJP leader's involvement can not politically justify Tripura's 86 % crime rate against women'.

However, when Central Commission for women declared that Tripura tops in Crime against women, CPI-M MP Jharna Das Baidya tried to justify that DGP told them there is 2 % down in crime against women till 2016, even though former DGP claimed for 25 % decline in crime rate.
