AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Latenight fire has gutted a shop at Agartala on Saturday.

The incident took place at Gangail road near Netaji Chowmunhani when local people were sleeping.

Getting informed fire brigade rushed to the spot and controlled the fire.

The cause of the fire has been identified as short circuit.

No lifeloss was reported so far, but the shopkeeper is facing heavy losses.

Tension has gripped the local shop keepers as due to short circuit very often similar incidents are occurring causing heavy losses to the household.
