With a total of 9260 votes, CPI-M candidate won the seats to Simna-Tamakari bi-election. Whereas IPFT candidate Mangal Debbarma got only 8678 votes in the Simna-tamakari ADC election held on Tuesday. CPI-M’s Political game : Tripura | AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): After passage of 48 hours, CM Manik Sarkar finally broke his silence on Thursday and stated that the entire situation is pre-planned to flare up communal violence in Tripura by IPFT alongwith TMC and BJP to destabilize harmony. Talking to media at Civil Secretariat on Thursday, CM Manik Sarkar stated that it was a planned move by IPFT and other political parties for flaring up communal riot kind of clashes . Now question arises if it was a pre planned program by IPFT why did the State Administration allow the unruly IPFT to stage rally at Agartala on last Tuesday ? However sensing the intensity of the situation, the west district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section-144 all over Agartala town to prevent illegal gathering of people. Violent clashes caused severe panic among the common people of Agartala after IPFT rally. However, CM Manik Sarkar has finally ordered for namesake investigation into the case within next one month. Consignment of food grains for Tripura h | AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Adding another milestone in the relationship between India and Bangladesh the consignment of 2,500MT of rice entered Akhaura Check post via Bangladesh Ashuganj river port on Thursday. The consignment of 2,500MT of rice arrived in 15 trucks. However the trucks were received with huge enthusiasm at Akhaura check post. It is to be mentioned here that a Bangladeshi ship carrying the consignment of 2,500 MT of rice for Tripura reached Ashuganj river port and then to Akhaura check post in Trucks on Thursday. Reportedly, the consignment for Tripura has started from Kolkata using waterways for Ashuganj port, which is about 32 Kms from Agartala by road. This is the commercial transit consignment sent for Tripura using Bangladesh. As per arrangement, the goods were unloaded at Ashuganj port and then loaded onto Bangladeshi trucks, which cross the Indo-Bangla border in Akhaura. The vehicles traveled by road to deliver the consignment Tripura.
