AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Tripura State BJP led by State President Biplab Deb on Friday placed deputation to Governor Tathagata Roy at Governor House demanding immediate intervention to August 23 mayhem.

Placing deputation, BJP further demanded CBI Inquiry to this incident for finding the facts and identify those responsible for that incident, to sack the Home Minister of the state for his administrative failure  which caused this heinous incident, to ask for report from all the political parties on this incident and interfere for the restoration of law and order situation of the state, to seek” White Paper” from the government on that incident.

It is to be mentioned here that The regional IPFT party, known for the unruly behaviour of his cadres, staged another ugly show at Agartala on Tuesday. The show in the form of procession moved through the streets of Agartala raising slogans for separate state called ‘Twipra land’, shouting abuses at Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and vociferously opposing any interaction between tribals and non-tribal’s.

The unruly cadres of IPFT had also assaulted peaceful citizens who needed emergency crossing of the roads. The whole ugly show left a better taste in the minds of the people of Agartala. The unruly act of IPFT cadres has generated resentment among the peace loving people of Agartala city.

IPFT’s rally has created unrest across the state especially at Agartala city when clash erupted at the three most crowded place of Agartala at Aitorma, Cornnel Chowmuhani, Press club and many other located place of the city.

Reportedly, in some places some of the youths in uncontrolled situation were harassing people, drinking liquor from soda bottles, scared shopkeepers complained before the police. But police played different roles in same day at two different places. Police were hyper active when NSUI staged dharna in front of Manik Dey’s home. At the same time with violent IPFT youths, police were just mute spectators as instructed by CPI-M honchos to keep tribal vote bank intact.
