SDM Udaipur A.Roy has lodged an FIR against a local BJP leader Suman Roy Sarkar after the SDM was severely attacked by the BJP leader when he was performing his duty.According to the official information, the FIR was lodged against Suman Roy Sarkar (Mantu) of Chanban, Udaipur in connection with “obstruction any officer in the discharge of office dutiesâ€. It was on April 3rd around 10.45 AM in front Lake City Complex DM, SDM and other Govt officials with whole team were on duty and they were checking papers of vehicle drivers, asking purpose of the travelling as national lockdown is going on due to deadly COVID-19 outbreak and the Udaipur city still remained crowded. Reportedly, police had detained 2 few bikes and 4 wheeler but on that time, Suman Roy Sarkar rushed to the spot and touched SDM’s shirt and neck using slang language, threatening common people to create panic whereas he himself was roaming on road without any reason. An FIR has been filed against Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb for spreading rumours and fake news on COVID-19, which created turmoil across Northeast led national media to slam Biplab Deb over the irresponsible statement with vogue data. The FIR was lodged by Senior Congress leader Gopal Roy in NCC PS, Agartala Under IPC-182, 505 (1)(b) for spreading FAKE NEWS on COVID-19 outbreak in Northeast India, which has created massive panic among locals for last 2 days. More COVID-19 suspected 16 persons sent | AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 4 (TIWN): Although Tripura State Govt had urged everyone to disclose their travel history if flied from other states amid COVID-19 outbreak, but after testing 72 persons negative in Delhi’s Nizamuddin case, today more 16 persons in addition were taken to quarantine as they visited Delhi this month to attend Nizamuddin programme. Talking to an official, he informed that the samples will be taken today and now all the identified COVID suspected persons will be taken to cooperative for quarantine. A medical team visited the area and have taken them for quarantine. Few of them are actually residents of Mumbai, but stuck in Tripura due to lockdown after they travelled here after Nizamuddin programme. Till yesterday total quarantined people were 6620 in Tripura which have now increased to 6636. Now, total 6620 quarantined persons are in state, whereas 3204 persons have completed observations. ‘7 days Free rations given to arou | AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Commissioner Sailesh Yadav today has informed media that around 2000 migrant labourers and people without ration cards here were provided 7 days ration to fight against starvation amid COVID-19 pandemic led 21 days lockdown. Yadav was addressing media after Umakanta Alumni led donation programme to AMC and it was also informed that anyone can donate in kind to AMC to help the poor. The tally rose by 437 to 1,834 cases, according to the latest update given on Wednesday night. There have been 41 deaths so far in the country. On Tuesday night, the tally stood at 1,397. The highest number of confirmed cases of the pandemic was reported from Maharashtra at 302 followed by Kerala with 241 infections and Tamil Nadu at 234 so far.The number of cases in Delhi has gone up to 152.Uttar Pradesh has reported 103 positive cases so far, while the cases in Karnataka have risen to 101 and in Telangana to 96.
