TIWN April 4, 2020
AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 4 (TIWN): As experts now believe that a phase withdrawal of lockdown, instead of a sudden and complete may not revamp the COVID-19 infections, thus Govt of India would not remove the lockdown completely overnight on 14th April. 10 days ahead of 21 days lockdown deadline, Tripura Health Secretary Debasish Basu in a statement during regular press briefing on COVID-19 on Friday evening said that although the 21 days lockdown will be ended on 14th April, but there is absolutely no reason that it will be a complete lockdown-free stage and certain restrictions will be still existing. Basu added, “At least till now that is what our prediction saysâ€. The exact statement from Debasish Basu was on Friday evening, “If on 14th April, the lockdown is removed it will be done in phase-maker way. According to our assumption, there is absolutely no reason to expect that the lockdown will be completely removed on 14th April.
Atleast few restrictions will be there and thus the inter-state buses movements to remain restricted and except Churaibari, all entry points from all sides have been sealed. Enough numbers of securities have been deployed in border areas”.
The Health Secretary further thanked local people of the border areas for keeping strict vigil on the areas, not allowing any outsider to make entry in Tripura.
