AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 2 (TIWN): Both PM Modi and CM Biplab Deb have praised the Kerala model to control COVID pandemic. After attending the video conference which was attended by all Chief Ministers of India and addressed by PM Modi, Tripura CM Biplab Deb told media, such incident rarely happens and cutting across political barriers, all CMs have joined the meeting. Referring PM Modi’s praise, Tripura CM praised Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan mentioning how amid spread of the disease, the death has been kept under control there.Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with the Chief Ministers to discuss the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. Tripura CM Biplab Deb also attended the meeting via video conference.
The conference comes in the backdrop of increasing number of cases of COVID-19 patients across the country which is under 21-day lockdown to break the chain of transmission of the disease.
The meeting is significant in terms of measures that have so far been taken by all the states, Union Territories as well as the central government to meet various challenges triggered by the crisis.
