Agartala, March 26 (TIWN):A case has been filed at High Court of Tripura challenging the appointment of 73 pharmacist at health department. Justice Swapan Chandra Das issued notice for views of the government on Wednesday.
The case was filed by Souman Baidya, a pharmacist graduate. The counsel of the petitioner Ariit Bhowmik claimed that the recruitment was held under “ walk – in – interview”. In two days 586 candidate gave interview. Each candidate was given 1.5 minutes by interview board, no question was asked regarding work experience . Besides interview board did not follow any guidelines in awarding marks to the candidates.
It is mentionable here that the CPI (M) ruled government here do no t have or follow any recruitment rules while appointing employee in different government department. The High Court of Tripura earlier had cancelled recruitment o over 10.000l school teachers from March 2010. The case is still pending at Supreme Court. All procedures and norms were violated in recruitment of teachers according to the court.
It directed the State government to ensure transparent recruitment of teachers as per procedure and made a point to consider the age limit of bona fide candidates who were denied job in earlier recruitment exercises.
