Students on Monday blocked National Highway in Santir Bazar in protest against Teachers’ crisis issue and a teacher’s transfer. Students demanded immediate withdrawal of the transfer order and more numbers of teachers in the school. Amid over 3,600 TE qualifiers are jobless in Tripura, Education dept is not recruiting sufficient numbers of teachers, alleging that Finance Dept is not permitting the recruitment. Reportedly, Sagar Dutta, a teacher of East Charakbai Formal High School of Kalsirmukh ADC Village under Santir Bazar sub-division, has been transferred. 10323 Teachers alleged Fake, Defamatory | AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers on Friday alleged that many media houses have broadcasted fake news and circulated defamatory news against 10323 teachers which have no connection with reality. Few newspapers published news that due to 10323 teachers, the Education Director was harassed and fell sick. It was also alleged that 10323 teachers had treated the Director brutally and did not allow her to drink water. On Wednesday, Dhanbilash HS School students blocked road protesting against teachers’ crisis and the transfer of a teacher. Dhanbilash Higher Secondary School is located in Dhanbilash Gram Panchayat area under Chandipur block of Kailasahar subdivision. Students of the school said that the school has been running for a long time with only seven teachers. Out of these seven teachers, only two are subject teachers. The school needs more subject teachers. The school does not have a physical instructor teacher.
