AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Reportedly, on September 14, 6 CPI-M supported families were attacked in Rizi Para of Barbil village under Khowai PS. Later, a case was filed with the police station along with the names of the miscreants, but no arrests were reported yet. Resulting, a protest rally was organised by CPIM activists from the CPIM office on Sunday and walked through various areas in Khowai main city.

CPIM party MLA Nirmal Biswas, CPIM leader Manoj Das, Left leader Sukhendu Bikas De and other leaders led the protest march and PS gherao program. Activists-supporters set an ultimatum for the police administration to arrest the miscreants, otherwise they will go for massive protest in coming days.

A CPIM leader alleged that state-wide hooliganism has taken place by BJP miscreants but the Police is playing role like slave. However it has now to be seen what action the Police will take to arrest the BJP backed miscreants.
