AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Over the pathetic condition of the Health system in Khowai District Hospital, Congress placed deputation to Khowai Health Officer Dr. Nirmal Sarkar in Khowai District Hospital. Confronting media a Congress activist said that the Hospital is uncleaned so initiative should be taken to clean the Hospital and to maintain the Hygiene in the District Hospital properly. As shortage of beds is reported in the hospital and the patients have to be treated on the ground, demand raised to add more beds in the Hospital so that no patient can get treatment on the ground.

Demands raised that Khowai Blood Bank should continue to supply blood of different groups, and that patients should be provided with free medicines and medical services. Besides, the Khowai Block Congress Committee raised several demands regarding public interest.

On this day, the Khowai District Health Officer after receiving the memorandum assured that he would bring the issues to the Higher Officials of the department to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

However, not only in Khowai almost in all Districts, Sub-Divisional Hospital has remained in a paralysed state.
