No Recruitment for 4 Years : ANM, MPW Pa | AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): For 4 years, no recruitment was done in ANM and MPW posts. The unemployed, qualified youths have demanded immediate recruitment. The job aspirants demanded recruitment in all vacant posts and immediate filling up of 791 posts, saying they are extremely upset with the Govt decision to recruit only 47 posts. A deputation was placed to the Director of Health in this regard. Talking to media, ANM and MPW passed out youths said, "We are unable to organize any protest due to the Corona situation. 2 Days Long Bank Strike Continues as a P | AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Several big banks across the country are having their banking and ATM services disrupted for two days, started yesterday, because of the nationwide bank strike. The two-day bank strike is being observed on December 16 and 17, according to the bank unions. In Tripura also, the strike was observed with full enthusiasm as the Union Forum of Banks (UFBU), which is an umbrella body of nine bank unions across the nation, is protesting the decision of the central government to privitise public sector banks, and thus, has called a two-day bank strike from December 16. Several public sector banks such as the State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India, and many others have their services disrupted due to the bank strike till today. Reportedly, TPF Parties had organized a ‘Human Rights Day' programme in Khumulwng field, when some of the activists from the Tipra Motha party organized an attack. No Hope for Permanent Solution of 10323 | AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): After almost four years of the BJP Govt’s rule in Tripura, the promise was given to 10323 teachers by BJP as the opposition party before the 2018 election could not be fulfilled. Public resentment and anti-incumbency have gone to extremes as from unemployed youths to contractual employees all are despaired with the failure of the Govt to keep its promise.
