Tripura TET Exams Wrong Answer-Key Scand | AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): TET Examination candidates organized a protest at Shiksha Bhawan on Thursday against the wrong answer-key published by TRBT which was not corrected even after candidates had submitted online applications spending Rs. 500 against each wrong answers. Allegedly, today the TRBT office indirectly threatened the candidates not to go to Court, otherwise, they will face problems. However, candidates told the media if their problems are not solved and injustice is done with the students, then they might take other steps too. TRBT reportedly told the candidates that extra marks will not be given to the candidates and claimed the answer sheet is correct and checked by experts. Tripura Violence: Supreme Court Issues N | AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notice to Tripura Govt and Police on a petition filed by three journalists of HW Network, against whom FIRs were lodged in connection with their news reports of the recent communal violence in the state. A bench headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud also stayed any coercive proceedings against the journalists and any other proceedings connected with the FIRs lodged till the next date of hearing. The top court has directed the state to file a response within 4 weeks.Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra, representing the petitioners, contended before the bench that journalists were reporting on the issue and then there was an FIR. Police have also ensured speedy investigation to ensure justice. The issue was raised after two TSR Jawans were killed by their colleague after being denied leave. In a statement, Police said, "Tripura Police appeal to the citizens of Tripura not to spread, share and circulate any hate speeches/messages and spread communal tension in the State. The investigation is being carried out speedily and professionally for ensuring justice. A large number of posts in social media demanding the death penalty of accused TSR jawan have been noticed. In some posts, there are calls for revenge/extrajudicial killings in the communal line. These posts are being scrutinized by the competent authority. 12 hrs Strike over TSR Jawans’ murder: | AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): TPF Party agitators were arrested in Tripura amid observation of 12 hours strike. The 12 hours strike was called on after two TSR Jawans were killed in Bishalgarh by their own colleague. TPF Party supremo Patal Kanya Jamatia has addressed the overall deteriorating law and order situation in the state of Tripura while announcing the strike. In various parts of the state, protests were staged. The agitators also demanded NRC in Tripura aimed to clean the state from illegal immigrants. Road and Rail were blocked as a part of the protest.
