AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): BJP’s resigned MLA, TMC leader, MLA Asish Das has slammed Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath for State Govt’s decision to privatize Tripura schools. The MLA asked Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who has given him permission to snatch poor children’s Right to Education? Addressing a press meet on Thursday, MLA Asish Das said, “This decision has been taken with total planning. That’s the reason CM Biplab Deb continued to claim that Tripura’s per capita income is the highest but the reality is different. Now, converting schools into CBSE will deprive a huge number of poor students. I want to ask, who gave Ratan Lal Nath permission to take the decision and to snatch Right-to-Education from the poor, when to control the dropout students' numbers SSA scheme was started”.

“Every year an amount will be drawn from the students including SC/ST. However, I will agree with the Govt if it confirms that for 20 years or 50 years the amount of annual fee will be thousand only, but it has not been done. In the coming years, that amount will be hiked because it's the BJP party which is selling off everything in this country even after promising to save national properties. In the coming days, all schools will be privatized in Tripura and the Govt is walking in the direction plan-wise”, said Asish Das.
