Allegation raised against ruling BJP Gov | AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Allegation raised against ruling BJP Govt for placing a faulty report in the State Assembly which conducted from June 19 to June 27 regarding how many party offices were bulldozed in Tripura since March 3rd. This was the second Assembly Session under the BJP Govt. The issue was raised by opposition Congress after around 20 days have been passed since the Assembly ended. Hitting the BJP Govt on that particular issue, Congress President Birjit Sinha said, “It’s quite surprising how a Govt can give false data in the Assembly. When questioned, the Govt said that only two (2) party offices of Congress have been bulldozed till day, whereas already 35 party offices were demolished. The victim is not only Congress but also other opposition parties faced same fates with their party officesâ€. “A Govt can’t give wrong answer or hide anything in Assembly. Final Hearing of 10323 Terminated Teache | AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Unending tension of terminated 10323 teachers have been continuing, since the state govt have appealed for review of the ad-hoc termination. The next hearing of much complicated 10323 teachers case is on July 18, Law Secretary Datamohon Jamatia said. On July 4 there was partial hearing of the case in the Supreme Court, but seeing the backgrounds of the hearings, Supreme Court has postponed the final hearing till July 18. State Govt told the Court to extend the ad-hoc up job continuation to 2020, June 30, but no final verdict was given till day and on Wednesday the final verdict is being hoped. Supreme Court has also postponed their termination up to the next hearing and their jobs are save. The Law Secretary further said that S the ad hoc is saved till the next hearing and thus teachers will continue their jobs in their respective schools till then. A chaos was created at Udaipur subdivision’s R K Pur Police station area, blocking the whole bazaar route on Sunday after Congress activists, leaders gheroaed the Police Station which was not in schedule. Congress leaders met Rahul Gandhi, State | AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha has returned in Agartala today after meeting Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi at New Delhi. Congress State and National leaders on Friday had discussed about Tripura poll strategy at New Delhi for upcoming Lok Sabha Election. Birjit Sinha told TIWN that today afternoon Congress will talk on this particular issue to the media and the pre-poll strategies will be revealed at Agartala Congress Bhawan. However, public's attention is focused on whether in this upcoming Lok Sabha Congress, CPI-M will align or nor. Already CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, CPI-M will align with all parties which are against BJP, but it also depends upon the states according to criteria and need. For example in some states CPI-M may align with Trinamool and in some states may not, but it totally goes to the interest of anti-BJP vote banks. Minor girl gang-raped in Tripura : 5 arr | AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Total five persons have been arrested in tribal minor girl gang-rape incident at Korbook under Gomati District in Tripura, whereas one more is still absconding. Add SP Nawadip Jamatia told TIWN that the 5 accused to be produced in Amarpur Court and police have been continuing interrogations with all the accused. The 6 accused persons are : 1) Pradip Tripura (19), 2) Kajal Tripura (21), 3)Nripendra Tripura (27), 4) Antar Tripura (20), 5) Kahani Tripura (25), 6) Manojit Tripura (26). Police have successfully arrested 5 persons out of them and one more will be arrested soon, said the Police Officer. The 16 years girl was brutally raped by 6 men at Korbook, now hospitalized in critical condition. Right now she is admitted in Korbook hospital undergoing treatment. CM visits burnt market in Agartala, anno | AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has visited the fire engulfed Kalyani market of Agartala city which was burnt on Thursday afternoon in a massive fire. After visiting the market, Chief Minister Biplab Deb, who is also the local MLA of that place under Banamalipur has announced Rs. 75,000 of compensation on immediate basis for the shop-keepers and later further loans will be given to them. CM told media that at least 7 shops were burnt in the incident whereas no insurance was done of those shops as none of the shops were cemented or big-structured. The victims were crying in front of the Chief Minister and one woman said, she has lost her Rs. 5 lakhs of product in that massive fire.“Govt is urgently managing Rs. 75,000 for the victims, but the loss was of Rs. 4 lakhs, Rs. 5 lakhs like that. So, to overcome the loss Govt will manage loans through Mudra Bank for them. There are 7 shops under one owner which are totally burnt.
