UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): BJP Govt is facing tough time from opposition after not permitting the parties to stage protest. A chaos was created at Udaipur subdivision’s R K Pur Police station area, blocking the whole bazaar route on Sunday after Congress activists, leaders gheroaed the Police Station which was not in schedule. Congress President has alleged, even after asking for permission long back the Congress was not given permission to hold the protest rally here in Udaipur, which was planned under “Bharat Bhachao Andolon”. “This is not the first time, but since the election we are not getting permission for any rally and as a result our activists were arrested many times during protests organized under 'No Permission'. Whereas all programmes are getting permission, why only opposition parties are not getting permission ?”, the Congress leader raised question. OC of R K Pur Police Station Partha Sarathi Pal urged the Congress leaders to leave the place as due to hectic schedule and many more pre-listed programmes they could not allow the rally. In reply Birjit Sinha said, why only selectively Congress was denied for permission.

Birjit Sinha also said, police asked Congress not to seek any permission before next 5 months.

Before the gherao, Congress staged a demonstration in front of Congress Bhawan at there. Addressing at there, Birjit Sinha said, “It may be a four months old govt, but under that govt no more Democracy is existing. Our party offices were demolished which were 40 years, even 70 years old. When we managed the court order, disobeying that order also state govt has demolished the party offices”.

“Price hike has hit the state, unemployment problems are in rise. Social pensions have been suspended. Law and order is unstable under the Chief Minister Biplab Deb who himself doesn’t know how many Districts his state has”, Sinha added.

The whole rally and gherao today was without permission but Congress had  sought permission for it, which police had denied. 

Recently another party INPT was not given permission to hold a rally on June 28. After the denial of permission High Court has noticed state govt.
