Speaker dilutes Rose Valley controversy | AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): When 'Rose Valley' issue was pinching CPI-Ms in Assembly, Speaker asked opposition not to raise the topic again and again as it was discussed so many times earlier in the Assembly. However, opposition MLA Ratan Lal Nath immediately asked, 'why CPI-M becomes so intolerant hearing Rose Valley' topic. Basically, 3 questions were asked in the Assembly by Ratan Lal Nath. The questions were : 1) How much entertainment tax had been received from 2013, 2014, 2015? 2) When Rose Valley Park was attached by Tripura Govt? 3) From when Rose Valley Park authority had stopped to give Entertainment Tax to Tripura Govt? How much tax yet to get from that park? Following this conversation it was revealed that in 2015 'No-Tax' was taken from Rose Valley Entertainment Park. When asked the reason, Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that everything is going as per law and Tripura Govt is acting as per the Court's order.It was also informed that after 18 month of the case, court ordered to seal the properties and thus the Govt had sealed them. Central Ministers' visits irk resentment | AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): A Central Minister is also equally liable to respond the miseries of every state's people. But unfortunately during UPA Era Central Ministers although flied to other states, but as they didn't count Northeast at all as their voting zone, so they never had interest to visit here. But with the coming of Modi Govt at Centre, one after one Central Ministers are arriving in Tripura either for inauguration of Railway Service or Highway. Apart from that Ministers are now also sent here from Centre to take reports from Tripura with their 2 / 3 days long visit-schedule. Thus on Tuesday also Central Minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik arrived in Tripura and directly flied to Kailashahar. However, since the morning CPI-Ms mouthpieces are mocking at the Central Ministers arrival in Tripura and criticizing why one after one Central Ministers are coming in the state? After Union Ministers Babul Supriya and Rajiv Pratap Rudy's visit in Tripura, CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar commented at Melarmath Party Office, ".........the Digi-Dhan fair was not at all important for which 2 Central Ministers have to come". Left front Unions paralyzed Banks, ATMs | AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): Although holiday for maximum bankers, widening scope for party backed bankers to come in limelight with various protests, but public had heavily suffered due to the immovable banks across Agartala. 24 hours strike received a heavy success in left front ruled Tripura, as the protest was against demonetization and Central Govt's Economic and Banking policies. But panic erupted more when 99 % ATMs were found non-functional. Report says that Agartala's maximum ATMs have remained cashless , offering endless miseries to common men. Indo-Bangla land demarcation alleged as | AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): The border fencing work which has taken place after Home Minister Rajnath Singh instructed the state to finish the incomplete border fencing work across the state, revealed that due to improper land re-demarcation many plain areas have gone to the neighboring Bangladesh, which have been cultivated by Indian till day. The allegation has brought by Tripura BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik alleging the then Prime Jawharlal Nehru for signing wrong land demarcation. Many ration shops closed in Tripura; CM | AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Food theft from ration shops and illegal selling of foods in the market continue in Tripura as digitization is getting delayed day after day. But instead of hurrying up the digitization, Tripura CM Manik Sarkar said in the Assembly that the new ration shops in Tripura to remain shut down due to digitization. However, for every temporary complex situations CPI-M Govt is busy to blame the Centre for its modern way of transaction and transparent data exchange. But in case of ration shop, digitization will not only make the system transparent, but it will drastically bring down the food theft across state. Tripura Govt yet to seal 43 chit fund co | AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Under the Communist rule industry could set up or not, but total 62 chit fund companies had run their regime in Tripura. The State Govt itself declared about the number of Chit Fund groups replying to the question oppositions in the Assembly. As per the data total 78 cases were filed regarding chit fund groups, whereas only 18 chargesheets were submitted by SIT and rest 65 were said as under investigation. But what surprises is that out of 62 chit fund groups only 17 companies offices were seized including Rose Valley, which was seized recently. Apart from that the govt said presently investigation is going on and nothing can be said about selling the properties and returning depositors money. Only 5 cases have handed over to CBI and rest 57 cases are under the observation of Tripura police. Tripura’s dismal record with 80% | AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Tripura’s 80 % cases have remained unsolved due to the loopholes in investigation and gaps kept(on purpose) by police while filing charge sheets. A data revealed that in 2016 whereas 6139 cases were resolved, only 1415 cases got conviction. In 2014, out of 6753 cases only 753 cases received penalty and in 2015 835 cases got penalty. All of the cases were under IPC crime but with a relief for the accused, 80 % of them got the penalty. State Govt took no initiatives to build up faster processing of FIRs and crime cases. Whereas West Bengal's 64 Fast Track Courts are functional in full wave, UP's 80, Maharashtra 80, Andhra Pradesh 72, Gujrat 61; Tripura has only 3 Fast Track Courts resulting 1 lakh 51 thousand 275 Court pending cases only in the lower courts. When Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath asked, ".whether Govt has thought anything about returning the money of the depositors or not", Sarkar said, "investigation is going on against the chit fund companies...". Thus, he made it clear that no property would be sold to return the money of the depositors. Jute Mill industry died under Tripura Co | AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN): Tripura left front union led by Minister Manik Dey has insulted Supreme Court on Saturday and expressed resentment over Jute Mill case's verdict at Supreme Court. Jute Mill factory business at Amtali, was declined due to extreme interference by left front. Source said that the Jute Mill factory had became almost a party office for CPI-M unions, which caused its destruction. Later the employees of Jut Mill faced hard times due to irregularity of wages as Jut Mill industry was almost died. But, a group of high officials filed a case at High Court regarding their irregular salaries, where Tripura Govt was defeated and the Finance Dept was ordered to pay them full wages at Central level. Challenging the High Court order, Tripura Govt knocked the door of Supreme Court but Supreme Court also found Tripura govt as guilty and asked the it to follow High Court's order.
