AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): When 'Rose Valley' issue was pinching CPI-Ms in Assembly, Speaker asked opposition not to raise the topic again and again as it was discussed so many times earlier in the Assembly. However, opposition MLA Ratan Lal Nath immediately asked, 'why CPI-M becomes so intolerant hearing Rose Valley' topic. Basically, 3 questions were asked in the Assembly by Ratan Lal Nath. The questions were : 1) How much entertainment tax had been received from 2013, 2014, 2015? 2) When Rose Valley Park was attached by Tripura Govt? 3) From when Rose Valley Park authority had stopped to give Entertainment Tax to Tripura Govt? How much tax yet to get from that park? Following this conversation it was revealed that in 2015 'No-Tax' was taken from Rose Valley Entertainment Park. When asked the reason, Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that everything is going as per law and Tripura Govt is acting as per the Court's order. It was also informed that after 18 month of the case, court ordered to seal the properties and thus the Govt had sealed them. But there is no intension of Tripura Govt to save Rose Valley culprits.

Then following the controversy, Assembly Speaker said, "There should be no more discussion about Rose Valley. Assembly witnessed much debates about it".

It's worthy to mention here that the tax relaxation to Rose Valley Entertainment Park since the year 2015 is continuing even though the park entry fee is Rs. 60, after entry for car parking there one has to pay more Rs. 25 and for boating it charges Rs. 125.

The boating land was fully belong to the Tripura Govt’s Khash and whereas ‘No-Tax’ is given by Rose Valley park owner since the year 2015.

In the year 2011-12 Rose Valley Entertainment Park gave Tripura Govt Rs. 11 lakhs 8 thousand rupees Tax, in the year 2012-13 it gave 9 lakhs 51 thousand, in 2013-14 it gave Rs. 12 lakhs 13 thousand rupees tax, but after that no tax were taken from that Park from 2015…...whereas in 14-15 Rs. 6 lakhs 89 thousand was the total tax amount.

In this condition opposition raised question, '.....why Tripura Govt is so much sympathetic towards the Rose Valley'?
