Rose Valley creates chaos across Tripura | AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Resentments gripped Rose Valley investors as the State Govt is not taking any initiatives to refund the chit-fund cash from the capital invested in Rose Valley. Although the state government has started the process of identifying investors allegedly duped by Ponzi farm Rose Valley Group of Companies but there is no announcement to make way for refund of their money. On Thursday also at Amarpur and Dharmanagar the properties were seized, after the State govt seized Agartala properties but nothing is clear whether the Finance Dept will refund the depositors with basic amounts or not. On last January 6, as per Tripura Govt’s instruction the depositors had to hand over the original Chit-Fund documents of Rose Valley to the CID at Agartala Office. Union Budget ushers tax relation, E-econ | AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Although the Central Union budget brought a huge relaxation of income tax for persons earning between Rs 2.5 lakh-Rs 5 lakh from the current 10 per cent, but CPI-M State Secretary said that this is just to cover-up the loss held due to demonetization. Welcoming the E-ticketing system and other facilities to reduce the cost via Digital India, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said that the Digital move is good one, but the Central Govt need to increase the volume of the proposed budget. Multicrore Rose Valley property seized a | DHARMANAGAR, Feb 2 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led Tripura CPI-M's active backings enabled Rose Valley, I-Core, Basil International type Chit fund companies into big empires which caused poor depositors to lose over 1300 crores. After 11 days, when all the Rose Valley properties were seized at Agartala, the Dharmanagar administration also seized the property there. The property was bought in 2008 with R. 60 lakhs value, which has been seized on Thursday along with many other important items. Police and Govt Officials under SDM Pradip Acharjee have sealed the whole office, where from computers to many important Documents were recovered. This Rose Valley branch at Dharmanagar reportedly were getting trade license from Municipality till the year 2014, when across India it was seized. Housewife Gang-raped at Tea Garden : 3 p | AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): 3 rape accused Bapi sarkar (29), Abhijit Sarkar (28), Rakesh Debnath (30) have been produced before the Court on Thursday with the allegation Gang-Raping a woman at Agartala on the occasion of Saraswati Puja. However, the decision of the Court yet to be known. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja a housewife was raped by 5 persons among them 3 have been arrested. Reportedly she was proposed for a job by Bapi Sarkar and on the day of Saraswati Puja it was Bapi Sarkar who took her to Adarini Tea garden with the excuse of job interview. But seeing more 5 young men there, she wanted to escape from the spot but failed. The 6 person raped her there one by one and also caused physical injuries to her. Then they attempted to murder her but she managed to escape from the spot and ran towards the highway and fortunately she met the public and told them everything. But the delaying of wages have created mass anger among the labours there. With the attitude of treating every states equally in every facilities, the Central Govt has gifted Tripura with BG, 4 express trainx and already various ongoing projects as Indo-Bangla railway, Feni Bridge, double lane road ongoing in the state. However after Modi Govt came in power many projects had kicked off here, but under state PWD’s observation the work completion rates are not at all satisfactory. Among 36 lakhs of its population Tripura now has 7 lakhs unemployed youths. In this condition although the State Govt is taking initiatives for building new Universities for the sake of increasing Higher Education rate, but it has no concern to develop the skills as well as to grow up industries. Although various Central projected skill development projects have launched in Tripura, but under the observation of Retired officers like S K Panda, skill development, employment have remained just in theory. The budget for skill development has also been increased as Jaitley in his budget allocated Rs 3,016 crore as against Rs 2,173 crore last year. But doubt remains whether the state Govt will be able to utilize the budget ? The total allocation for rural, agricultural and allied sectors for 2017-18 is Rs 187223 crore, which is 24% higher than last year's. Reportedly, the government has committed to double farmers' incomes in 5 years, but doubt remains about Tripura as the farmers here undergoing heavy losses and the businessmen are looting the public with high prices, but no action has taken so far. MGNREGA debacle : Tripura's progress rat | AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura Govt till day claims that Tripura is in number 1 position in MGNREGA work-completion and mandays distribution but with the performance report's publication under MGNREGA, the reality has once again exposed. The central report clearly depicts that Tripura’s achievement in Category B work under MGNREGA is only 5 %, whereas Karnataka, Odissa, West Bengal is with 67 %, 53 % and 53 % respectively. Whereas Meghalaya is in No. 15 with score of 19 %, Assam in 20 with 17 %, Manipur & Arunachal with 14 %, Nagaland 6 % but being the last Tripura scores only 5 %.
