Churaibari Dropgate becoming crime cente | AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): Ahead of Republic Day-2017, atleast 500 bottles of phensedyl were recovered by Churaibari police from a house at Churaibari, which has created much tension at that area. The tension was increased further when a pistol was recovered from that house. Churaibari PS O/C Bijoy Sen getting informed by his secret sources seized a huge number of Phensedyl bottles and a pistol. However the main accused Aftab Ali managed to escape from the spot. Source reported that like Ali, there are many families who are living by smuggling profession and if needed they also murder innocents. Such an incident has become a common issue at Churaibari area. Churaibari which is the main door-way from other Northeast states to Tripura has turned as the den of mafias. Many times it was reported that not only smugglers but the gate is acting as the corridor for NE based militants. Udaipur-Agartala train service inaugurat | AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Whereas the CPI-M Ministers, MPs during Agartala-Udaipur inauguration began all Anti-Modi propaganda and revised a well plotted story of CPI-M’s railway move since 80’s era, Tripura BJP State President Biplab Deb and Sunil Deodhar gave a surprise to the ruling party leaders when the video conference began. Tripura’s 35 % unfenced borders i | AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Security has been stepped up in Tripura ahead of Republic Day and BSF intensified checking of vehicles at the borders the district shares with neighboring Bangladesh. The BSF official said that they are combing densely populated pockets, including villages, and have increased surveillance and night patrolling. Special measures have been taken to keep a check on anti-social elements to prevent any untoward incident. Centre hits CPI-M Govt for wrong reports | AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M Govt’s massive central fund embezzlements caught Central Govt’s attention for corruption-laden implementation of Housing schemes under PMAY schemes in Tripura. After State BJP reported to Union Ministry about the bogus beneficiaries listed under PMAY scheme,Tripura Trinamool also reported to the Central RD Ministry about the same issue of CPI-M’s lootings.
