KAMALPUR, Jan 23 (TIWN): Like the previous years the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was celebrated with due pomp and homage, this year also at Kamalpur. Nagar Panchayat, Inspector of Schools and Information and Cultural Affairs organized the celebration jointly.

In this ocassion, a colorful and huge rally was arranged. In the rally MLAs Anjan Das and Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha, Nagar Panchayat Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Councillors as well as government officials participated. Thousands of students from different schools participated with placards, banners and in the guise of different personalities.

The rally roamed the different parts of the town and gathered at the statue of Netaji at Netaji Cornet. There people from different strata of society paid floral tributes to the freedom fighter. Later, short discussion was also held in that ocassion.
