AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy inaugurates Statehood Day-2017 at Rabindra Bhawan on Saturday

A huge number of audience with much enthusiasm gathered  and left no space in Rabindra Bhawan auditorium.

Tripura Health Minister Badal Chowdhury, Agriculture Minister Aghore Debbarma and others were present.

Chief Secretary Y P Singh during his welcome speech said,"Tripura got full fledged state reward on 21st January, 1972 and since then the state has been developed a lot".

ICA dept also presented a visual documentary on that issue, beginning from Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi to 2017.
